did it ever occur to you that i have been abused? that i recognize red flags and key words that speak of abusive tendencies because i have had to deal with them myself? His latest tirade is just one of *many* that he has had over the years in his career as a streamer and he ALWAYS cycles through the same motions. He loses his crap and goes on full nuclear tirades at his stream viewers, banning anyone who says anything that disagrees with his opinion, then he deletes the VoD, copyright claims anyone who posts clips of his meltdown, then "apologizes" by blaming his ADHD and blaming his watchers for making him mad. "Look at what you made me do" is a phrase i've heard several times in my life, usually right after being beaten, and it is a phrase he has used on more than one occasion.

the cycle of Anger, Abuse, and Victim blaming is abusive behavior 101, anyone who has studied cases of domestic abuse can easily point out that what he is doing is abusive.

First of all, I am sorry that those things happened to you and I hope that you found peace and help because its sucks. I can understand what you are coming from and yes he does do that a lot but those are also type of behaviors is mental disorder as well (Repetitive Behavior Disorder). We all have our opinions about this situation and my opinion is that he messed up, he apologizes, and TWITCH/FFXIV will punish him if they believe that he did something wrong (Yes he did).

We don't know how he acts off stream and there's no need to speculate. Until there's a proof that he's abusing anyone irl, you shouldn't throw shade on anyone.
If you don't like him - don't watch him.

No one is speculating. Nobody said "He probably beats his wife and dogs."

What was said was the way that he has acted on stream points towards abusive behavior and using that pattern of behavior people

You're right, we don't know how he acts off stream, and it is very much possible that his behavior is a result of the parasocial relationships of Twitch chat. But, if someone has the capability of treating people like that with regularity, it's not a stretch that the person acts like that...you know... regularly...

Treating people that provoked him you mean? I'm not trying to defend his actions, but I've seen the stream. He didn't just randomly start acting like he did.
As I said, if you don't like a content creator or his personality - you don't have to watch him or his content.

i would be inclined to be more lenient if he didn't hold up his 'mental disorders' as a shield to excuse what he's done and to then blame his viewers as well for "making him do it" (raging out of control). I have seen this scenario many times and no matter how many times he 'apologizes', things aren't going to change. All we've done is reset the clock, which has already begun ticking down to his next explosive outburst.

Edit: and to answer you, yes i am in a much better place now, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

No, not the community is waiting. Only a bunch of asshats on 5chan that think they're some kind of crusaders with a duty to attack anyone who doesn't abide to their ideals are waiting.

The fact that Square Enix caters to such scum in the first place just baffles me. Isn't it the public perception that 5chan, just like 4chan, is the dirty slum of the internet, where only the internet equivalent of crack addicts, yakuza members, social outcasts and obnoxious people reside? This whole situation feels like the equivalent of the metaphor: 'Naoki Yoshida holds a fan gathering in dirty ghetto bar filled with alcohol drinking minors, std infected hookers, violent drunkards that beat people up because they don't like their face, etc. to advertise FFXIV'.

If anything it would be a suspension. People can whine and complain on here about grey areas till blue in the face, however, the simple fact is all mods are against the ToS. Using them openly on stream is just asking for trouble.

The only question around 3rd party tools is what you can get away with, not what is allowed. Each person will make that decision for themselves.

Could I get a small explaination what happend?
I just remember him being someone who enjoys the story.

Having followed him from 2.1 to 3.4 he's not really someone that "just" enjoys the story. Admitedly, it grew on as the number of streams increased, but he got increasingly agressive and caustic. By the end of it I stopped watching him because it was an unpleasant experience. And to my understanding, those episodes have not ceased to happen... just that this time he got more eyes focused on the matter.

I couldn't give a shit about the opinion of someone who watched out of context clip made by hater on reddit who only show someone getting mad without showing the lead up and now are so opinionated about a subject they know shit about.

Banned once on twitch for similar behavior, nothing out of context here. Him taking that mic off the stand grabbing it with all his might is almost him wanting to grab someone across the table.

What he said wasn't even wrong, and other Streamers have similar arguments with chat and ban people too and don't get the same blowback.
I think the difference is that he comes across way more like an unlikable douchebag when he does, if you're Asmongold people are gonna be more accepting towards it and take it less seriously because it's more part of his persona.
With Pyro it's not really a persona or an exaggeration that's just what he's like.
He also comes across more like an adult outside of that too while you've got a lot of Streamers that are basically children in adult bodies so people have different expectations.
But I really don't think his mental breakdown was actually that bad for Twitch lol.
It just came across as both more real and also less comedic because he's not a 30 year old boy who became popular as a Streamer as a teenager and never grew up.

I dunno tho every time I try and watch his Stream I tune in and he's having a giant argument with chat for like 30+ minutes or he's taking notes for 30 minutes between every sentence.
It's pretty unwatchable imo.
But I also think most drama and outrage Streamers are totally unwatchable and it's VERY common content.

I'll say this. I have noticed all this attention to this topic has rewarded him with tons more followers and subscribers who sympathize with him. Whether you're for or against him, it's a win/win situation for him, due to the attention (positive or negative) brought in threads like this one.
