^this.. entirely this.Because it is obvious to everyone that people are ganging up on people like Pyro because they just don't like them for their attitude/personality, and these same people are likely also guilty of their own infractions of the ToS. In any case something as benign as chat bubbles should probably be an in-game feature/toggleable option by now anyway, so once it becomes a feature it would make reporting someone for having them now all the more ridiculous.
Both Pyro and Preach have since stopped using mods. Retroactively punish them if you wish, but don't expect my sympathy for when others go on to criticize the way in which the FFXIV community behaves. This kind of heavy-handedness over something so minor isn't a good look. I'd rather not deal with a community of individuals who are ready to attack each other over stuff like this. I don't come to this game to deal with people who'd find any reason to go after me the minute I do or say something they don't like.
To this day I refuse to display my main character on here or on social media especially because of the sort of individuals pushing for bans over these sorts of things, as if they are supposed to be free of all wrongdoings themselves. Like I said earlier, there's no point in telling these people to look in the mirror because they believe themselves to be in the right. No one wants to be part of a community where they feel they have to be walking on eggshells all the time, but sadly that is what the FFXIV community feels like in times like this.
