If they actually ban Pyro I'll lose a ton of respect for SE. Yes, yes, sure, you get what you deserve or something. But are they really not going to address targeted reporting? Literal coordination?

The dude is fucking unhinged and nobody, let alone Yoshi P, should take him seriously.
Edit: He deleted the vod. Guess why.

Finally, someone says the real reason why people would wanna target Pyro.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bgf5WIRY7c

The guy fell off his rocker and started attacking and mass banning his chat for neither agreeing with him nor liking his aggressive hostility.
I feel people are more motivated to get him banned for his behavior... the public use of mods just help make it happen.
UI mods are harmless and and does not hurt anyone.
In the announcement of Yoshi-P they even mentioned that they look into the UI mods to see how to improve the ingame UI.
But it is sometimes else when a big streamer keeps the mod launcher open for serval minutes, because that could count as advertisement.
I don't know what Pyro did but if he kept the launcher and exact names of the mods on display for serval minutes then a temporary Bann would understandable.
But he does not deserve to be a victim of a witch hunt for using them.
Could I get a small explaination what happend?
I just remember him being someone who enjoys the story.

Good lord, he goes on an unhinged rant when people try to make reasoned arguments about why they prefer console play, then tells people *they* need to go learn how to interact with people?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bgf5WIRY7c

Almost like this thread is just one of his parasocial fans trying to damage control for him. He has a long history of this kind of behavior. Not so long ago he did Ivalice with his stream, got filtered by the math boss, and then had arguably his most infamous meltdown since playing this game, lashing out at the boss design, his party members (even though he's the one who failed here), his chat, the game, going as far as to use homophobic slurs against the game and the community, before ragequitting the game and shutting off his stream. He deleted that vod, but fortunately with this latest meltdown people managed to save it before he could take it down. This clip was the very end of today's stream. It was a soid 4 hours of this behavior. Probably the most offensive part of today's stream was where he compared himself to civil rights activists for championing addons. I shit you not. He was quite literally baiting Square to ban him today by plastering his addons front and centre. Finally, someone says the real reason why people would wanna target Pyro.

There's a reason his popularity has been rapidly declining. Nobody, absolutely no one, should be defending this person. That anyone watches him still, despite the way he treats his own community, and the Final Fantasy community itself despite making him so successful, is sad. Not sure if he should be banned, but I for one would not shed a tear.
I hope so. He's a blight on the community.
On stream he did on yesterday (5/10, vod is now deleted), he started talking about his take on Mods and plugins in XIV in terms of how SE is handling them.
He and many of his chat members had disagreements on this, as most chat members obviously agree that mods and such are always against TOS and are more of a hush-hush thing.
More disagreements, Pyro gets pissed off, start flaming people in his chat, banning numerous people on an unhinged rampage, targeting individuals, iirc I even think I heard him call his chat "Dumbasses who pay my bills," but I may have misheard.
Long story short, Pyro lost his temper and got hostile towards his chat.
Him losing his temper and attacking his chat is nothing new, but this was a new level of hostile I've seen.
the sad existence of 5chanHuh, well, we were joking but it looks like the JP brigade actually is trying to get Pyromancer banned
Pyro has some hella anger issues, some poor chatter said in THE nicest way they didn't agree w his take and behaviour (attacking his entire chat) and he still lost his shit at the dude. He said about 3 times in that comment he loved pyro and the streams and it meant nothing, still treated the person like dirt. Even banned an 8 month sub for similar reasons. For sure plenty trolls in his chat too, but when you lose your temper so easily it's not shocking you gna get more people trying to get a rise out of you. Doesn't make the whole ff community jerks.
I liked the guy at first but with how often he loses his rag at his chat and gets really nasty I just couldn't watch him anymore. I peeked at him today for the tail end of his stream since other streamers I watched were not live and it was just vitriol.
I get he likes his UI mods and all that, they seem perfectly harmless to me but lots are conflating the more innocent stuff in general to call outs and slide cast overlay etc which are just cheating let's be real..
Streaming your mods and plug ins etc to hundreds/thousands of people is not keeping quiet about it as was the status quo till now. Streamers pushed their luck too far, the community had their warnings repeatedly at this point. I agree with Zepla in the vid she uploaded, they knew what they were doing was against ToS, they knew we recently had a warning and they went ahead and did it anyway an bam banned, surprised pikachu.
Lots of mods and QoL are great and I wouldn't want to see them go for people who use them but I don't want them becoming so commonplace like they are in WoW where if you want to run content YOU BETTER have those plug ins such as DBM etc. Streamers blatantly showcasing a variety of mods just promotes their use and brings the WoW hell closer to becoming reality imo. You do you, just keep it to yourself ffs.
