Why not a warning?

Guy. ADD-ONS ARE NOT ALLOWED AND ARE AGAINST TOS.

They can't say that some addons are safe to use because it will imply as they promote them and also it saves them from having to deal with dumb people who download cheat that steals their passoword.

But w/e hard to explain this to SE blind white knights. Yoshi P himself uses act like program like other devs, it's not hard to grasp this.

Again people get banned because they are getting mass reported by 5ch lunatics that lie in their reports, if GMs really wanted to take action on streamers ultimate world race would have ended first day.

Do people really think a 10 day ban after years of calling things grey areas and 'just don't harass people' is an appropriate response? Don't come in saying "THEY HAVE THE RIGHT", no one cares or argues they are within their rights. I'm not even saying "let them have the tools still..." I'm simply saying that pulling them to gaol, warning them, and then letting them go when they remove the offending material, accomplishes the same effect without making half the userbase angry that people are being pulled mid-prog for sudden 10-day bans.

Please dont reply with no thought comments. Actually think about the question I'm presenting and give real reasons why a ban is better than a warning in this scenario with the context of how things have been treated.

You don't know if the streamer had a previous strike for a ToS violation on his account, which is a possibility. Which means if this is their second or third strike they get more days.

Ofc it's also possible that they wanted to make an example out of this streamer. And even if it is a grey area, someday it hits you and they said that too.

All the mass reporting did was put a magnifying glass on the actual issue. It may have flown under the radar otherwise, but that doesn't mean there was not a ToS offense being done. Yoshi-P has been very open and upfront about this.

I just like the irony I see on twitter of ppl saying don't cheat don't use mods but have modded their characters in game in their profile pic and timeline.
Some of the plugins people use, like arthars discussed on his stream, can allow things otherwise impossible like triple weaving etc and yeah that is 100% cheating. But modding your ui and other innocent things like.. it just gives the player using them some more clarity. If you mod your cat boi don't try and clap at people modding their ui rofl.

I'd say folks who don't display their mods with links to their account such as thier name have the right to say as such. Folks who do mod but put their character names on their pics or on their account are no different than folks streaming with mods or ACT. Those folks for sure can't talk

Then it's "We will ban you but in a year we will add feature you used into a game, have fun" type of situation. You seem didnt even read what i wrote about Yoshi P and also about GMs, you basically defend people who abuse report system and lie in reports.

So I used something I heard from Gaming Kinda(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxvfBU6Tny0). Think about this you driving down the road and you go one mph over the speed limit. You pass a cop, as long you keep going and mind your busy you most likely won't be pulled over but if you start waving a flag out your window and start yelling "HEY LOOK AT ME IM SPEEDING!!!" What do you think the cop will do? Pull you over and give you a ticket because you draw attention to yourself. That is basically what these streamers are doing when they stream with 3rd party addons on, they are basically saying "Look at me I'm breaking tos, I bet SQ won't do anything to me" Also let's be real here we all know where the line is drawn when it comes to what is and isn't allowed. Just because they haven't given you a long list of dos and don'ts, doesn't give you the excuse to not use common sense. These streamers know full well the risks of running addons on stream and now they pay the price by being made an example of. Shoot the twitch clip I saw where the streamer was pulled out of DRS, his friend/party member even said to him "I told you" Sound like to be the dude's own party member's warn him about streaming with addons. Also, a warning does not send the same message as a ban. I bet if any of yall got a warning you would go right back doing the thing you did to get a warning in the first place. Yoshi p talked about this stuff a year or two ago, and personally, I believe that was your warning. Now do I think they should keep warning us about using 3rd party addons? Yes, I think one time speaking on this once every couple of years isn't enough and I think they should keep reminding streamers to not use these things so openly or face the consequences. Overall I don't feel sorry for those who were ban because they knew the risks and decided to not use common sense. Also, I doubt it will hurt them too much, when they come back I bet their views and sub numbers will skyrocket because all this has put them in the spotlight and will draw ppl to watch them(it happened to Xeno after his suspension and other streamers). So this most likely will end up more like a reward than punishment in the end.

I don't blame them at all when SE turns around and decides to add the very thing they banned the person for. If it's a banable offence then why are you adding it to the game?
