Mistakes that need to be rectified

I want to preface this by saying I love our dev team. they are by far the best devs the gaming industry has ever seen and their love and passion for game and players is obvious in every update. However as talented as they are things slip through the cracks, and not just minor things, but obvious slip ups that make no sense. I often equate our dev team to a gordon ramsey who cant make a pb&j sandwich. i love you to death, you're so talented and amazing, but this is honestly surprising. that being said here are a few things I've noticed were insane missed oppertunitys and would make things much better for everyone (even more shop purchases!)

    1) FC tags. its annoying that my fc is same color as everyone else'. hard to distinguish ourselves in a crowd unless we're all added on friends list. I have seen many adons on twitch where people use something to color their fc tag something different that sticks out, so why cant we do this ourselves? this would be a great QOL fix!
    2) names should not be the exact same color as the rest of the text. this is just weird and confusing sometimes for sight readers. names in chat need to be able to be distuinguished from chat color. you can just make it basic white and leave rest whatever color the player has selected and i think this will be okay
    3) Housing- even jagex, one of the worst dev teams in gaming knew it wasnt a good idea to bring player housing without the use of a "kick player from house" button. Yes i understand we can blacklist players from entering or lockt he house, but this does no good if someone is already inside and decides thats when they want to make a ruckus. Please give house owners ability to boot disruptive guests (the entire crystal date center and rp community will be very thankful)
    4) emotes- the new sip tea emote is unable to be used while sitting. this is a problem for obvious reasons. I can not believe in a JRPG, i can not have my character sit formally (on knees) and sip some tea.

    5) emotes 2- can we have an actual dance emote? i dont care if its just a simple headbang/shuffling (honestly both would be really cool i think. just walk into limsa see a bunch of people shuffling as a bard band plays)
6)Mounts- are you aware there is a flying carpet mount in the shop? are you also aware its massive and only limited to one person? what is the point of a flying carpet mount if i cant get on there with my eternal bond partner and dress up like aladdin and jasmine singing a whole new world while flying around? I'll answer for you: there isn't one. thats why nobody buys it.
    7) Ping- the server information displays (for me at time of this writing) sending 374 receiving 958. wtf does that mean???? ping is measured in ms. so how can i know which world/data center has best connection for me if I wish to do more competetive stuff as ping is vital in stuff like that. i dont really care much about packets sent or received (i dont think anyone does or even knows what this actually means), so it would be nice to have a simple display that says " ping: 60ms" or something

these are just a few things i've come up with that were huge missed oppertunities. but its not too late! all of these can easily be implemented in the next patch i think. I cant imagine it being too difficult as like i said some of these even jagex could figure out. if jagex can do it surely the brilliant minds at square can!

please devs give us these fixes!

Okay I'm going to try and clarify or offer some counterpoint to some of these ideas, as some things not being included that seem to be assumed would are often for technical reasons or simple pragmatism:

    1) You already can set other players' character name plate text to show in a different colour if they're on your friend list, so FCs would be a logical next step (I cannot remember if this is an option in the 'chat fliters' section of the Configuration menu in the game or not). Your FC tag is already meant to be what 'distinguishes you' from others so, it's not a really major issue.

    2) Names are identified in the chat log by the specific colour code of whatever chat mode is being spoken (to allow you to note at a glance what chat mode you're in), so I assume this is a coding thing and would add too much complexity to the chat log.

    3) That is annoying but again I assume it's probably a technical reason that such a 'kick out' function isn't available (given how complex the code for housing behind the scenes actually is). Because anyone logging out inside the house cannot log back in inside it, all you can do is lock the door, and then wait til server maintenence which will kick the player out indirectly (due to the aforementioned logout moving their location to outside the house). As this is what GMs state to do in this situation, I do not see SE changing this.

    4) Having just got this emote, I must say I am disappointed to hear this limitation with it, although again I presume there is a technical issue behind the scenes why it's visible standing only. But I'd still like to be able to sit down drinking it! (The ale mug emote is visible when seated for instance). Maybe it's because the emote includes not just the cup but your character holding the saucer with your other hand, and they're worried about clipping through certain character models when seated).

    5) There are already plenty of special dance emotes available actually, some quite elaborate (Thavnairian Dance, Harvest Dance, Bee's Knees to name a few) - they're gained through either special quest rewards or, from the Gold Saucer as I recall. Another option is to unlock DNC and use their abilities which are also dances, naturally. Either way, there are already numerous dance emotes in the game other than the 'default' /dance1 and /dance2 emotes.

    6) As I understand it, the reason for the magic carpet only being a single seat mount is simply because it was added to the game before multi-seat mounts other than chocobos were made available. Unfortunately, rarely if ever are mounts ever altered - and then usually it's only a change of BGM for them that is made (I've never heard of a single seat mount being changed to allow multiple riders, SE would just make a whole new different mount for that). So alas, the magic carpet will probably remain single seat sadly.

    7) Given how the game's battle system is designed to be easy to play, server ping and latency is actually less necessary than it appears (this is why we have a Global cooldown on abilities after all). The network information given in the GUI is just an arbitary number out of 9999 designed to show how much data is being transmitted and received in a general way, because really, most players don't need to know the exact number - just that the higher the number the worse your connection is (as lag occurs when the numbers get really high). This seems to be merely copied from FFXI's interface which displayed connection in a similar way (and that was designed to throttle fast connections to 56k dial-up equivelant, yes, FFXI is designed to be slow. FFXIV does not do that though).

I hope I haven't come across as harsh or nasty, (I'm really sorry if I have!), but I just wanted to clarify your points as there are reasons for SE's madness.
