We're all banned already didn't you know? The second we made our accounts we were already using third party tools to sign up and purchase the game. As soon as our service accounts were established we were immediately banned for usage of third party tools, we've merely fooled ourselves into thinking we were actually playing the game. And to top it off we all got a virus on our devices known as uh, Aetherware. Nasty stuff, heard it hogs up all your storage space and even steals more every four months.

Third-party systems are third-party systems. SE didn’t differentiate between mods,
, reshaders, voice chat programs or anything of the like. So technically OP is valid - and their statement is 100% backed by the TOS.

Yep, thank you for proving my point. You are calling out something that has no interference with the game and they said was fine to use - the original intent behind the ToS. You should also keep in mind that their policies can be enforced carte blanche.

Stop making this like it's some government conspiracy and thinking you have "rights" to do something. This is a private company and they can make choices on enforcement, leeway or heavy-handedness. You also need to learn the difference between spirit and letter.

You give someone some rope to make common sense decisions, and they hand it off to others to be irresponsible with it, so they will hang everyone with it.

It amazes me how people just don't get the point of this post lol. It's not about using keyboards, or cellphones, it's about SE being cowards and side stepping what's allowed and what isn't. OP is correct in that if we're to take the TOS at face value, then Discord is not allowed. SE needs to step up and state what is allowed, and what isn't, otherwise this will never go away. And if their intent is really to stamp out everything, then they got a lot of work to do themselves to make the game more accessible and less of a headache in a lot of ways.

The fact that anyone is actually taking the 'anti-Discord' posts here super seriously is astonishing. I guess I need to add /s at the end of my posts or something. :V

Aside from the trolling that started this thread, I don't care to use discord with random people I do not know or have no intention of interacting with beyond a trial. I also do not have a mic and probably will not be getting one, and using it on my phone means I have to mute all audio because it will pick up in game sound and bother the party with it. There are also the biggest voice chat offenders you might encounter, the mouth breathers, fans into the mic, chewing into the mic, or just plain yelling when it is completely uncalled for.
