Question regarding bots and how to report them.

Recently after farming through pyros Eureka I've noticed a large amount of botting for the bunny fates for example half the instance being bots. While I've tried reporting them through the "report cheating" tab in contact us. It is kind of a hassle to have to report every person individually.

Can I report multiple people per report?

What does the team that deals with botting and third party tools need from me as description so they can actually catch the botting?
Do I have to point out how the bot works and is recognized or can I simply just say "bot" as description?

It's honestly really hard to say what does/doesn't work with how infrequent bans are coupled with the lack of responses from whoever is getting the reports for cheating.

I've personally been listing off every single player involved in what I assume to be joint operations when it comes to stuff like the Eureka bots, then offering a description of what makes it obvious they're botting (The way they tend to stand directly on top of the each other and move/cast in perfect unison being a big one).

It's impossible to tell if that's actually the "right" way to report them or not, though.

you can do all of that

but never hold your breath waiting for a result.

there is a VERY small team in Japan who are the only people who deal with this, by small, I mean 4 or 5 people for the entire game... called the STF or "Special Task Force". there are bots who have been reported for years who are still around. FFXIV is referred to in the forums for the bot programs as a "very bot friendly game" because of their minimal enforcement. they hit the low hanging fruit, like the bots advertising for gil in major cities.

there have been some very very detailed reports submitted, and yet, the same bots are still around for years.

I would submit what you can, one day something may be done, but currently, report and move on, have no expectation of anything but you will continue to see them... and one day, the STF may get around to doing... something.
