When's Ala Mhigo getting an actual city-state?

It's no secret that Ala Mhigo is the rejected child since the devs hardly bother making furnishing for it, never show much of the actual city outside of a dungeon filled with Garleans, and outright shirk some cool potential through the role quests (seriously, Doma gets their nice ceremony but Ala Mhigo's ceremony is off-screen????????????????), but it would be an amazing and sensible candidate for another Restoration-esque project or a whole new housing ward.

Ala Mhigo and the entirety of Gyr Abania was mismanaged during the development process resulting in a disjointed story taking place across a series of colorless zones with hardly any memorable defining features. As someone who was initially intrigued by Ala Mhigo's original concept art of a shining city that looked out over the horizon, the actual in game zone is a huge letdown.

I think before even considering things like a housing ward over there, resources should be invested in some kind of texture/color upgrade to each of the 3 zones for the sake of the people who'll play Stormblood anytime in the future. Perhaps if people like it enough they can make a housing zone in the new, touched up zones. As it stands now, Ala Mhigo is likely last place in terms of places people want housing in, and given the state of those zones I cannot blame them for thinking so.

At this point it’d make more sense for all the NPCs to vanish while you’re away in endwalker and leave the place a ghost town mystery. Lyse was never heard from again either.

It might get more focus when we get an Ilsabard expansion given that it's the Alliance territory closest to the continent...though I'm not keeping my fingers crossed.

Personally i think Ala Mhigo is very similar to Uldah.
Seems like a waste of man-hours/effort to design a city-state that is extremely similar.

And like how the rest has pointed out, the design of Uldah aand its' housing districts aren't that popular with players.
Even if housing is implemented for Ala Mhigo, it would be probably the last choice of housing plots like Uldah.

However, having said those. I do want to have Ala Mhigo to become a city-state seeing how much work the WoL did with the rest of the scions to save it.
A reconstruction effort like Ishgard's would be good content too.

Hey man I'm used to it. Also any publicity is good publicity. I'm just hoping the devs even acknowledge the place in any amount cause sheesh, it gets shafted SO HARD especially recently!
