Yoshi-P acknowledges "many mistakes" were made in 6.1

Today SE made a post about third party add-on tools (https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...5122b8b8d6ec3b) and usage. At the very bottom, Yoshi-P state states the following:

"Thanks to our devoted Warriors of Light, FINAL FANTASY XIV has grown into a titan among games. This means that it is now home to players from all walks of life─and not just longtime FFXIV fans, but those who have recently come to join us from myriad other game communities as well. Many more eyes are now on FFXIV, and posting about it garners a great deal of attention, which has changed how information is shared online and spreads throughout the playerbase.

With this in mind, I would like to encourage the development of a strong FFXIV community by continuing to provide commentary as I have today. Truly, I cannot apologize enough for the many mistakes we made in 6.1, and the resulting disappointment in such a major patch.

Nevertheless, we intend to forge ahead so that FFXIV may continue to bring joy to as many players as possible, and we hope you will stay with us on this journey!"

Not to have an iota of Hopium here (or maybe it's just Copium) but maybe . . . just maybe the Samurai changes fall into this category of disappointment and will be addressed.

Only time will tell but it is interesting that he took a moment to call this out within a message about plugin usage.

I think he’s talking about the leaks of dragonsong and the abuse of addons in ultimate. But hey we can hope D:

He also said not to take any individual excerpt from the statement out of context by doing what you just did.

He's only addressing 3rd party tools and ultimate leaks.

While I would like for them to be acknowledging the amount of pushback about SAM, I think something like that will be addressed clear cut or not at all.

Yeah, samurai isn't likely viewed as a "mistake". Wish it was, but realistically, the timing comes out when people are completing Dragonsong War.

That being said, they really should stop treating us like a QA team and actually use their QA team to test shit.

Forgetting that arrays start with 0's is a problem, forgetting that you might want to hide files for ultimate before release is a problem but killing class is ok

The post does not seem to refer to anything other than third party tools, and the "mistakes" might refer to the leak of some yet-to-be-seen phase that could be purportedly ruining everyone's experience. It does not seem to be anything other than yet another pointless "I'm so sorry" post from Naoki Yoshida, as opposed to actually admitting they completely ruined two jobs because of their ineptitude.

So skimmed and crunched down I read

• Third party software and tools
• Usage of them to gain advantages
• Hacks and Cheating think PvP exploit
• Housing Lottery issues
• World Race regulated or by Community
• Data Mining and Leaks

Aka: Nothing about addressing any issues regarding Job design/change fuckups. Admitting mistakes that affects our gameplay? I mean great? Though nothing about acknowledging anything regarding " DPS feedback ". Sounds like another Week/Weekend day.
