    Assign display name rules to your own FC. My FC members are not every other person I see, I'd like to make them a different display color.
    While in an instance with NPC's fighting alongside you, put them in the party so I can use the party UI on them.
    Make it so that markers put above characters heads does not block the view of countdowns or other mechanical identifiers on that character. Ex the mini bosses for the new 24 man.
    An option to only see my debuffs or debuffs that effect me on characters I target. I don't need to see my allies dots, I only need to see my dots, and maybe trick attack.
    An option to move the cast bar of my target/focus target independently of the health bar.
    An option to copy a hud layout and paste it into an additional hud layout slot. Currently if I want to do this, I need to completely remake the existing hud.
    Mostly see this in pvp, make "target closest enemy" actually target the closest enemy.
    I don't know if we can currently move the dialogue box for NPC's in an instance. But the default place for it can cover mechanics. There's a boss in StB that has a text box cover the look away eye.
    An option on the mount roulette to specifically exclude certain mounts. I don't need a limited favorite list. I just don't like certain mounts all together.

    yep, im a big fan of optional stuff. it shouldnt be forced on people but there if you want/need it.

    So if SE is aiming for "parity", uh... just let people zoom out as much as they want to. Since the alternative, dynamically "clamping" people's viewport to the same universal standard via detecting what size of display they're running, seems like it would be a rather unpopular idea.
    Pretty much all of this post but mostly this part.. it is so extremely annoying to be a tank main sometimes because of the zoom.. we have all these mechincs blowing up in our faces, the bosses range from man sized to mech to small moon! And were expected to see things like a raised hand or worse of all Eden Shiva.. how many players know she has a gaze marker over her head when doing redress, how many players know that during Holy she has 1 or 4 orbs orbiting over her head to know the safe space? I do because I study fights but its still almost impossible to see them as a main tank.

    Also for other options we need a way to blacklist effects we don't wanna see, I'm tired of being blinded by things like Red Mage LB3 or any of the new SMN Primal attacks. They were pretty an cool the first time.. after all this time I want them gone so I can actually see the fight

    Oh also a better report system.. why dose right clicking and selecting report only have the option for RTM?! Why do I have to open a separate window and lookup the name and server of the player and remember because playing with a controller and pressing menu button to open the report tab will close the other boxes, and if I forget how to spell a name I have to close my inprocess of writting ticket and open the recent player tab all over again. Just let us right-click a player or right click the name in recent player and select report!

    The big five, imo:
    • Conditional intercepts (e.g., being able to bind a key to both Confirm/Accept <when a menu> is available AND something else, say, <in combat, with target selected>, in a given priority order),

    • no more doubly punished ping from animation locks (no longer have the client reset your animation lock timer when receiving action confirmation from the server),

    • full macro functionality, including to the point of being able to single-key combos if one wants to (rather than forcing all players to sacrifice tactile cues for more bar space they might not need anyways) and, of course, wholly able to pair keys like Shelltron/Intervention based on target, use <mo> macros without losing the ability to queue, etc.,

    • more customizable status effect filtering and ordering,

    • fewer double-confirmations, most questions snapping to "Yes" instead of "No", and an escape from the constant "You can't do that while occupied," and

    • actual size (height, width, etc.) and anchor selection for most or all parts of each UI element, rather than just a single placement and 60/80/90/100/110/etc. size.

    When I unfriend someone, I want to be off their friend list too. It's very odd to still have someone on your friends list that removed you or vice versa.

    I know it's not a ui improvement, but if we're talking about positive additions to the game to make mods obsolete, I think it's too important to ignore.

    The fact that non-japanese players playing within their own region feel the need to download a mod to simulate the responsiveness that japanese players have by default, is a huge problem that needs to be addressed (5 years ago).
    If they're not outright forgetting about the problem, the devs will talk like it's a "learn2play" issue or like we don't even understand how latency works or that it's just people with bad internet, but it's none of those things. We have to learn a whole new delay-based rhythm to play this game that we don't have to deal with in any other major MMO.

    I just wanna sit someone down from SE, and tell them to try to do tight raid maneuvers on NA servers from the east coast of NA.

    Fix network conditions delaying execution of oGCD. Important for jobs like MCH that double-weave.

    It's not just happening when you login to Japan. It can happen if you play on American servers if SE's Internet Service Provider is having issues, which happens a lot.

    There are a lot of great ideas in this thread. Please keep bumping this and make it reach like 100 pages if we want to have any remote chance that any of these are implemented. Right now the chance is pretty much 0% until players make enough noise.
