Chocobo racing maps

Just curious, when will or will there ever be more than 3 maps.

I enjoy chocobo racing from time to time and I would like to see more maps in the future.
I'd really love to race through dravania.

If a developer ever sees this please think about more areas to race.

It seems unlikely. IIRC there have been no major updates to chocobo racing since its introduction in 2.5 (I think.) Every few years they add a new GATE, but beyond that Triple Triad is the only Gold Saucer feature that gets constant attention.

Considering the number of times i see other players in a race, im not surprised about this. Maybe once every 5 races i see 1 player. Popularity is low, and there is no interaction in the regular game on this.

Triple triad at least has a bit more rewards tied to it, and its has collectable aspect in it that extends the time you can play it before considering it as completed. Chocobo racing is done when you have maximized your chocobo and got the achievements (which on that are very restricted).

Some extra attention would be nice, but im not going to expect a lot from this. But a few things could even be done in the current state:
- More titles (some being based on the tracks, and some specificly oriented to pvp races)
- Allow longer waits to ensure you are racing a player (instead of 30 seconds this might mean 200 seconds, but this could still be fine)
- Tournaments! (with flattened stats if needed). This could go along multiple tracks and each race the bottom 4 (or less if that gives better balance in numbers) get kicked out until there are less than 8 players remaining (with 18 racers, it for example does 3 races of 6 players, and each race 2 are knocked out to make the next race have 12 racers in total to again split into groups of 6). And flattened stats simply means that a 400 rating can be lowered to 100 again (although this should give those players some finetuning options as otherwise a normal 100 chocobo might have stats exceeding the stats the 400 could get)
