I tend to get overlong, so I'll start with the short version: I think the Item Comparison and Try On options need to be moved to the top of the list, like they are in the main inventory and armoury chest menus. Or ideally we get the ability to rearrange options entirely, as we can for the standard list in our inventory.
---
The order of options in the marketboard subcommand menu cannot be modified, to my awareness, and is ordered in a way that places intermittently used options at the top of the menu and frequent ones lower in the list, at least by my experience. This results in the user having to press many more buttons over time.
Specifically, the main options I use when browsing are the Try On and (to a lesser extent) Item Comparison, then Search For Item if I possibly already have it stored somewhere other than my inventory.
The current list order is:
Add to wish list
Add to favourites
Search in same category
Item comparison
Try on
Search for item
Link
Search recipes
Search by crafting method
Search by gathering method
Out of these, the top three options are not very useful as options to be placed as the most accessible things in the list.
I would only need to add an item to my favourites after I have tried it on and decided that I like it enough to make note of it but not immediately buy it. Therefore they are lower in hierarchy than the Try On button, despite being placed before it.
"Search in same category" might be useful if you've searched for something by name, though I've never needed to use it, and it's completely useless if you're already browsing by category.

My primary reason for using the marketboard, if not buying the highest-level gear I can equip, is browsing and trying on a lot of different pieces when assembling a glamour. For every piece, I have to scroll down past these other choices that I have very little reason to use. Instead of one press of the down button in the armoury chest, where Comparison and Try On are the first two default options, trying things on at the marketboard requires four presses every time. When trying on many things in a session, this multiplies into a huge number of additional button presses.
I think these sorts of navigation issues get overlooked, because a lot of menus seem to only be tested for mouse navigation and controller movement is not considered.
