Hydaelyn's appearance might just be what Venat's transformation looks like.
Hydaelyn's appearance might just be what Venat's transformation looks like.
It might at that. Neat.
It certainly isn't far off from Elidibus' transformation aesthetically.
So. Venat fought us naked in both our view *and* the ancients’ then. I got the strong impression that transforming in front of others was the equivalent of streaking to them.
That's definitely how i first interpreted it when I first heard mention of it, but looking back I think it was more akin to flagrantly flaunting one's full power, boasting in a very magic way (Etheric Way?) how powerful you are. Such displays would indeed appear uncouth. Pish posh and all that.

Certainly possible. When we first see Zodiark shackled on the moon, even in his incomplete form he is absolutely terrifying. When he is broken free, and he just kind of phases out ala Gozer without so much as a wisp, I got chills. So I figured Hydaelyn's design would be in direct contrast to that, and be one of beauty, security, and comfort. I think that is what they had in mind more so than what would Venat look like in her transformed state.
When I think of Hermes and Hades, they bear little to no resemblance to their ancient forms. Hydaelyn however, very much retains Venat's signature features, especially her eyes.
Hades does mention in Elpis that it's akin to walking around without one's robes... How scandalous.
