Thanks for the bump I suppose, but who are you to question whether or not we're still enjoying the game? Better yet, I think it's best that I point out your hypocrisy as I've done with others such as Naoki34:
Look familiar? I suppose it should, considering it's coming from you. Not to mention you've conflated an entirely different subject in regards to the SAM changes and whether or not this game is good or bad. People can like the game and still give harsh criticism where it's needed; the two are not mutually exclusive. You say you don't agree with the Kaiten removal, but it seems you don't understand how much of an impact this has had on the class and its identity as a whole. I suggest you educate yourself by clicking on the links in my above post, or by looking at more recent threads in regards to Ultimate clears and the lack of SAM. Regardless, don't come in here and expect a warm welcome when all you've done is disparage the voices of those who do not like the change.Pretty much. It's pretty much a bunch of disgruntled people threatening to quit every other day and talking about how the game is failing so horribly and is getting worse by the day... yet everything else indicates that the game is growing, most people are enjoying it.
But it's very normal for any official forum. Any change, outside of big damage buffs, is met with trepidation, fear and loathing most of the time, and anything added to the game usually gets fully ignored to focus on what may be missing. Aka, everyone here is a cynic.
I just put the worst of them on ignore. There are some good discussions that happen, but there are unfortunately too many who just end up being condescending or attack people for actually enjoying the game, flaws and all.

He's onto something
the new definition of Fun right here
What you, I and others enjoy varies. But, if players do not enjoy a certain part of the game? and the Dev's asked for feedback? no reason to shut that down. Here's some food for thought...
Fun doesn't equal -> Good Job design
Good Job design does equal -> more Fun then Bad Job design
Not rocket science... yet people can't grasp this.
If players only enjoy the icing off the cake, how can you criqitue the rest who enjoy the rest of the cake? The flaws of the rest of it will go unnoticed, at that point it requires... experienced pallets if you will. Then suddenly we're going deeper on what players enjoy.
Playing Samurai isn't just mindlessly flailing your sword, 1-handedly bashing buttons while watching netflix. Heck I can do that in large chunks of the MSQ spamming Hakaze and Hakaze only. Basing the enjoyment of Balance around this? makes zero sense since the Job design isn't pushed to its limits for this content to challenge it's balancing for fun.
If players keep discrediting experienced players, on why their job isn't fun? It most likely means they probably have not engaged in high-end content nor do they care not to. Or they do not care about the Job depth at all. If you have fun that way, great. But invalidating the other opinions simply cause you are having fun? How much of a suck up do you have to be? I don't go to Google Search everyday and make sure I mail Google how much of their ass I have to kiss.
- FFXIV is great yes
- Sam is fun sure
- Sam was better
- Sam can be better
- Sam is now worse
- Dev's asked for feedback
- We are giving it
It's that simple
Hey samurai mains, a suggestion. See if you can get a thread rolling like we healers had. Its running at 112 pages of quit healers!
You know that role yoshida told to go play ultimate if they are bored by the constant glare/broil/malefic/dosis spam.
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...e-quit-healing
I've unsubbed. I only played FFXIV to play Samurai and do savage, but I don't have any motivation to play anymore when level 90 Samurai feels as fun as Samurai at level 50.
Hopefully we get a revert on 6.2. I could try a new job but I don't really find anything else fun so I'd rather just not force myself to play a game I'm not enjoying
I still cannot get over the tone-deafness of "if you want to have fun, go play ultimates" in response to "please make healers more fun". "Caring for players" for sure.Hey samurai mains, a suggestion. See if you can get a thread rolling like we healers had. Its running at 112 pages of quit healers!

Don't worry, all the SAM "Mains" will come back to playing SAM once it becomes META again.
Till then, all these SAM "Mains" will gravitate towards whatever job that places high on a certain not to be mentioned website, as well as dominates on a certain damage indicating addon that also is not to be mentioned.
But the players, who enjoy SAM for what it is, and offers them, will continue to play their favorite job, and look forward to brighter days.
This is my main?
It's the only character I have.
Classy response as always, insults, degrading ones intelligence, making false claims, ect.
Seems someone has gotten upset.
Oh my bad that this is your "only character". Then, "false claims" says the "player, who enjoys SAM for what it is" without so much as unlocking SAM. Weird how that works, eh?
