I feel like having the worst takes possible and getting blasted over it on the forums is like your day job.
I remember that thread where you faked your outrage over someone jokingly mentioning Seppuku, when it already exists in the game.

I remember that thread. I believe the proper modern day phrase for that is "majorly cringe." Literally the worst possible type of fake concern trolling imaginable.

Oh no, not at all, nerfed or cheated, I continue to main SAM.
And, I don't spend my time complaining that the devs did this or that, I adapt. Since when is it a convention to complain about the slightest change?
I'm a kendoka IRL, I'm not going to change my martial arts because it's getting lame.

Good for you, yet you're projecting your worldview onto others and do not even realize it. This change was not slight: it took away the theme of the class which was to build up to big hits (which was a dopamine button for many), it destroyed synergy with 4 other classes in DRG, BRD, SCH, and DNC (so much so that you do not see any SAMs in the current ultimate clear groups), and it reverted the class to a mindnumbingly boring playstyle which did little to alleviate APM (a playstyle in which SE wanted to steer away from with them re-adding a nerfed Hagakure back in SHB).
Also, it has always been a 'convention' to talk with one's wallet if something isn't satisfactory for paying customers. I could link images to show how much lower SAM's 6.1 numbers are compared to 6.0, but instead I'll direct you to these threads:
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...Kaiten-removal
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...shiP-asked-for.
An overwhelming amount of players in both NA and JP do not like these changes; should they follow your worldview and suck it up? Should they just let all that time wasted gearing up a class through Savage to prepare for Ultimate be for naught? Since it seems that you think they should, then perhaps you need to get off your high horse and tone down your self-righteousness. On the other hand, perhaps you enjoy being outed as a hypocrite and spending time complaining that we shouldn't be giving the devs what they specifically asked for in the Live Letter: feedback.

1st, glad you're enjoying the changes.Oh no, not at all, nerfed or cheated, I continue to main SAM.

However... once you try to invalidate other Samurai opinions? you better base it off of something creditable. As in you as the source has to be very valid to many others..
- Maining the Job
- Experience with the Job
- Playing high-end content where Job balance matters
The act of " Adapting " to enjoy playing at lowered standards? isn't adapting, it's acceptance of a worse product. Encouraging a company to keep delivering worse? means we get to play with worse products. That affects players being conditioned to play worse, so the content requires to be lowered to match it only again to have players who accepted the simplifications to again complain only to have people like you fighting to accept over-simplifications keep adapting. Notice a Spiral downwards?
I see way to many posts like these and I have no idea what your end goal is? but I don't see " a better FFXIV " or " a better SAM job " design at the end of the light from these types of posts. All I see is people defending the crap, the mistakes a company is producing? and advocating the enjoyment of simplification while invalidating peoples opinions, of many who probably have played the game at a much higher difficulty.
You enjoy the changes? Great! power to you. But, if you gone attempt to invalid the opinions of passionate players and long time mains of a certain job? you better come with something more other then " just Adapt ".
What exactly did you "adapt" to and in what content was that exactly? "Expert roulettes"? Hunts? RP? What content do you engage with using samurai?
EDIT: this was supposed to be a response to Naoki34 above but I failed at pressing "reply with quote".

No one cares if you're a Kendoka IRL. Looking at your post history, you're just an infuriating individual that contributes literally nothing of any value on these forums.Oh no, not at all, nerfed or cheated, I continue to main SAM.

Uhhh.... Since the devs asked for feedback??? They killed all of the fun out of the game for me, and if they ask us to tell them why, you better believe they're going to hear it. I'm glad you can just adapt to whatever braindead change they implement though.Oh no, not at all, nerfed or cheated, I continue to main SAM.

I have only logged into XIV three times in the last month, I have no desire.

Correction, some SAMs on the forum are quitting. Most of us are still having fun and playing the game while everyone here acts like this is the worst MMO ever made.
