If Holy Sheltron were DMG mit instead of block(or have an extra DMG mit CD)along with veil putting a shield on the caster, then PLD would be in a great spot defensively. That would allow them to kitchen sink CDs effectively like the other tanks can.

If it had the above changes AND be able to use HG twice per fight like WAR can, then it would probably be the best defensive tank (how it should be).

I mean Knight's Resolve is literally 15% damage mitigation, block is 10-20% damage mitigation (typically in end game will be 20%) and can kitchen sink just as effectively. I agree with shield and heal applying to PLD from Veil, disagree with the above post about making Veil apply on press, Veil in some cases is actually better than the other equivalents, in that it's able to be pre-popped ahead of time to get better more strategic uses.

I mean technically most Savage fights will allow 2 uses of Hallowed Ground if planned, typically it's the third use onwards that isn't possible, compared to Holmgang and Living Dead, sometime Superbolide.

Honestly, the biggest thing Paladin and Warrior need, is actually a significant potency buff to bring their respective outputs more in line with the same aDPS of Dark Knight and Gunbreaker, especially in light of the tighter DPS checks of the new raid tier. Tanks should be brought not based on their damage output, but rather on which players feel more comfortable or enjoy playing.
