Suggestion: The ability to equip animation sets of other races/genders as an item

I posted this elsewhere but I wanted it to get more visibility and discussion as I think it could potentially be a great thing for people to have. (Apologies for the re-post)

The concept is pretty straight forward, you would have a slot on your character screen that allows you to equip an item that changes your current race and gender animations to that of another race and/or gender. And I mean everything, running/walking, idle poses, sitting animations, all of it.

Now, I understand that the reality of developing such an item would be somewhat complicated as animations would need to be scaled up and down for races they weren't originally intended for. But lets be real, it's totally doable and there are more than a few cases of different races with different proportions already sharing idle poses, so we know that it can be done.

As much as some people would despise the idea, I think it would be a great mogstation addition, if that's what it would take to make this a real feature for the game. I know that I personally would be more than happy to pay a few dollars to change the way my character animates and the extra freedom and customization that it would bring.

I'd love this. However if it were a mog station item in which we had to pay for each individual animation, I would absolutely hate it.

It wouldn't be each individual animation, the item would give you access to the whole set for the race/gender you chose to get. So if you decided for example, to get [Spirit of the Female Miqote] and equipped it. That then changes everything your character does to animate like a female Miqote, it would almost be like changing race/gender without changing your look at all.

I'd be down for picking animations, though I'm not sure how much I like the idea if changing one animation changes all animations. I like the animations I have now except for like 2. I wouldn't want to lose all of them to get rid of only 2.

I’m a person who would like more significant differences between the races. By making each race’s animations accessible, the races would be further homogenised and any sense of individuality between them is gone.

Also, I personally can’t imagine SE going through with this route because what makes the other races appealing is what earns SE Fantasia sales.

If it were possible, I’d like them to create more variety of different animations/idles for our races, so it doesn’t feel as limited as it does now.

I'd personally value more options for self-expression with our characters over preserving an aspect of racial identity.

It's always bugged me that Xaela females are stuck with very feminine emotes despite their cultural background and the more proud and confident emotes utilized by Roegadyn and Highlander females would arguably suit them better.

They'd probly have to limit lalafell animations or greatly change them for other races, but i like this idea alot tbh
