Would be nice. How would you add it after people have spent hundreds of dollars and hours on single character progression though?

WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
I recently recovered my 1.0 character and would LOVE to have the pets on my old 9 year long character on her too.
Much of that stuff you cant get anymore so +1 here for account wide collectables.
Yes please.
Unlock those real money purchases for all other characters. They might have to be picked up in the mail like the old vet awards are but I'll take it. (I would prefer they all just get added to the mount tab).
For mounts on future characters lock using them behind the chocobo quest, just like with veteran award mounts. Also chocobos shouldn't be account wide. Each character should have their own that they can customize as they want.

I don't know that the game needs this as a general feature. Your main character can do everything and most people just play alts to RP or Raid on other DCs, the latter being less likely to care about stuff like this to begin with.
I would say anything that you obtained on one character that is now unobtainable (such as Event quest rewards you farmed out during events) could and probably should be account wide.
But I don't really care all that much that this isn't the case, to be honest.
Mogstation mounts are already account wide I believe? So there is that.

I wouldn't want account-wide achievements. I like re-earning those on alts. Mounts, minions, hairstyles, orchestrion rolls, and all Mogstation items would be welcome.
I just want the ability to pass untradable items between alts. Make it slow and restricted so you can only send, say, one thing a week, to throttle it being used for RMT, but just being able to get an achievement item on one character and pass it to a second would be great.
Also to alleviate the frustration of finally getting a dungeon glamour piece I wanted, but not on the character I want to wear it.
Consider though that people have bought mounts and cosmetics multiple times for multiple characters. Is the money they spent just.. gone? Same for people who bothered to unlock titles/achievements/progression on alts. Are all the hours they spent just "oh .. we changed that , sorry you wasted your time?"Unlock those real money purchases for all other characters. I've done both and I'd honestly be fine with that. I got my money's worth already for purchased items and I don't regret time I spent for things on my alts. If they suddenly said I only have to get mounts for instance once and they'd be available when I swap characters, I'd be very happy to access any that I haven't already re-acquired and won't feel bad about any I did.Consider though that people have bought mounts and cosmetics multiple times for multiple characters.
