    please put status invulns back into pvp

    please put status invulns back into pvp. the most annoying thing right now with CC (from my experience) is getting chain stunned/silenced/bound/etc the moment your team goes to engage the enemy team, because purify gives you literally no invuln from status effects. like, there really isn’t much point of having purify if the moment you use it you can be immediately restunned/bound/etc.

    Purify does - for a pitiful 5 seconds - but it's still a bit of a bandaid on a bullet hole when single classes can stun every 15s while purify is on a 30s cooldown, and then you have to consider that's just 1 of an enemy team of 5. So I still agree with the suggestion - after being subjected to a given CC type, there should be a 10~15s immunity to the same type of CC.

    That's what the tooltip says but I haven't had it actually work once since 6.1 went live. I constantly purify a stun, and get stunned again immediately.

    Honestly I’d be fine if they just made it so purify removes ALL status ailments and made you immune to all ailments for the duration.

    I hate when you waste purify on a debuff that can’t be removed by it like WHMs miracle of nature and then you’re just screwed because not only did you not remove the debuff that was effecting you in the first place but you don’t get resilience because you didn’t remove anything…

    It’s not like you have time to double check which debuff you’ve been afflicted with in the heat of battle just to make sure it’s something that can be purified and miracle of nature is basically the same thing as silence.

    I'm pretty sure you can't use purify while you're imped by WHM (or charmed by DNC or horrored or whatevs it's called by RPR).

    But yeah, the resilience buff after purify definitely ain't working right. It's got a delay for activating and you can get re-cc'd during that delay. My question is:
    Why is purify even available as a button while you're not CC'd if the only theoretical reason you'd ever do that (resilience) is also tied to using it while CC'd

    They'd either have to make resilience always pop up when you press the purify for there being a reason to even press it while not CC'd or they could make purify only available while you're CC'd. Either way would allow to make resilience kick up when you press the button instead of making it check for a condition before applying because that delay needs to go.

    Either everyone needs to have CC or yes the ones that don't need a way to invuln it. There's no "but their damage" on certain classes when the best dps kits all have cc and mitigation tools atm.

    CC to secure a kill is a valuable tool, it's just able to be abused with people being able to AOE cc every 15-30 seconds and being able to duplicate it far beyond what purify is built for. Even if server pinged properly you'd still have WAR and other classes who can stun you twice in the window it takes to come up regardless. But being able to cc/punish someone for trying to 1v1 you is absolutely a cool thing to have in the game, it's just too potent at the moment with how purify and guard don't work properly.

    Nah. in fact i'd like to see more cc, but more like black mages sleep, not the stuns and white mage spell that you can be damaged through.
    I'd like to see CC that breaks on damage as ways to slow down an enemy team ratehr than just cc that is used on kill targets

    The main problem is the server tick rates making purify not always work correctly. The second problem is purify is only 5 seconds....They should mimic swtor's resolve system where two big stuns gives you full resolve and makes you immune to CC for 15 seconds.

    CC is necessary in games like wow,swtor,ff. I'm fine with stuns and slows and roots, but I think silence and poly are the worst things ever.
