Yeah, well, that's the problem with low tickrate servers. There's nothing that can be done about that. People expecting FL to be balanced are probably wasting their time. SE will make what changes they can, but the emphasis will be on CC first and foremost, and in CC Purify generally does exactly as advertised as long as you time it well.

Personally I think the shift to such low time to kill was a big mistake because of the low tickrate servers. They probably should have gone the other direction and made it focused heavily on attrition and resource management. But that tends to be boring for people that don't understand how such systems work, so that's likely why they didn't pursue it. Given his background with MMOPvP systems, I doubt Yoshida was ignorant of systems like that.
