    Crowd control in general is insane. The fact that there are no DR's for cc is mind-blowing.

    Purify provides you with limited immunity for a few seconds afterwards, and the duration of CC effects is very short. There's no point to global DR timers or anything like that, unless you also double or triple the duration of a typical CC. A typical stun is over 3 seconds in WoW, with effects that can break early on damage like fear, polymorph, etc generally being 8 seconds or more. When effects last that long, you need DR timers. When effects only last a couple of seconds, you don't.

    CC effects are fine and balanced within Crystalline Conflict, and that's what the system was designed around. Yeah, FL is a mess, but... oh well? I guarantee you they would have stripped FL from the game along with RW if they thought they could get away with it, because they *know* it's unbalanced. And honestly it probably never will be. FL and CC are way too different from each other for them both to be balanced at the same time using the same system.

    It actually is possible after all to get hit with CC in the small window between curing yourself and gaining the resilience buff.
