I just did the dumbest thing I think I have ever done in any game.

I made a character on a server doing the Road to 80 xp boost.

I have put in over 30+ hours leveling all the core jobs to at least 30. Even the crafting/gathering ones.

Spend and made a few hundred thousand gil buying and selling stuff on the market board.

Progressed up to lvl 32 quests on the MSQ, so tons of prime double xp from the MSQ to go. I could easily get many jobs to at least 80 with just that.

Then, I decided to buy a boost straight to Endwalker.

I just paid $25 USD to take away tons of xp from myself, since I now lost all that MSQ because of the skip, and I can't even do any MSQ until I get to lvl 80, which negates the xp boost.

And my highest job is lvl 43, so I can't even do Endwalker now, and boosting now made it harder for me to even get there.

I have no idea what I was thinking...

And I hate to be that guy, but why does SQ even let you boost a character that has no lvl 80+ jobs?

It really makes no sense to let someone do that. I bought a boost I can't even use, and it takes away a huge resource to help me get there.

And it would have saved me from myself LOL

I don't even care about the money.

It's the total waste of time, since I worked on that character so much, and now I don't want to play it since I gimped it so hard.

These books are for people like me who got tired of the MSQ or are not interested and just want reach maxlevel as fast as possible... Like i said: to do the MSQ one time to get known to the story is 1 thing, doing it over and over again because i like to have alternates.... the time i use to go through the MSQ, insted i can take some overtime at work and get out much more money than just these 23 Euros... so in this case the money is well invested in that book

You still have the Road to 80 boost and dungeon EXP is still doubled. Queue for some dungeons (daily roulette + highest available) and work through your class quests while you wait to get in.

SE lets you skip the story without an 80 character available because if you want to level independently of the story, it's much easier to do it post-story-skip with all the dungeons unlocked. (That and/or they hope you'll buy a job boost as well. But still. It's easier with more dungeons.)

Pursue some side stories while you're at it. Alexander at level 60 (from Idyllshire) and Omega at 70 (from Rhalgr's Reach) are worthwhile, particularly Omega. Also the Binding Coil at 50 but you can't easily do that synched to get EXP from it.

Chances of that happening are pretty low.

If you were on Aether I would pocket heal you through those dungeons until level 80.

It's there for players who don't want to do MSQ. The boost did exactly what it was meant to do. However, you bought it and used it even though it appears as though you do want to do the MSQ.

Yeah, it was my error. I should have used it later when I was done with leveling alt jobs with the MSQ.

All on me, but still really bummed they won't help.

With road to 80 you will get there just dungeon spamming in a couple evenings? I don't see what the big deal is? Time/XP ratio on MSQ isn't great.

I wanted to use the MSQ to level ALL jobs to 80. So much xp in there, especially when it's doubled with The Road to 80.

When I was done using that resource, I could have used the skip, but I was dumb and used it too early.

Hence me not wanting a refund, just a reversion back to before I used it (rollback?), and putting the mailed item back in my inventory.

That resource is now gone. I realize I did it to myself, but still hurts.
