the emperor's new shoes AND fists both are just... bad.
the prior for obvious reasons but the latter because your character doesn't actually make fists. they're just... holding like an invisible weapon. it looks so dumb.
I don't mind the loose grip look of the Emperor's Fists. When not actually throwing a punch, it feels more natural to loosen the grip of a fist. It is also more practical since keeping a fist clenched requires energy, and while this might seem negligible, if a fight is drawn out, this consistent drain on stamina can actually make a difference. Well, that's what my cousin who used to be a boxer told me when showing me how to hit a heavy bag.
In battle, I am so far zoomed out that I can't tell, and it looks like my character is punching with clenched fists.
In short; I will not be deterred from using my Emperor's Fists xD
Seems like a lot of trouble for some content that was a complete waste of time, manpower and resources. Pathetic.
I don't think you understand how this industry works. The rating system and rules and what is or isn't allowed according to various countries is not up to the court of public opinion. I do know exactly what the devs are thinking in this regard because the ToS and their stance has been crystal clear. A profanity filter is not a free pass to use profanity- you can still be banned for it.Yeah, they can. They don't have to call it an NSFW filter. You have said since the game is not an 18, they cannot have restrictions on certain glamour or give people the option not to see certain conditions on glamour. That's like saying we shouldn't give people the profanity filter, or they shouldn't put such types of glamour in the game because it shows too much skin. There are plenty of ways to do this that wouldn't affect the overall user experience for people.
What you have is a system designed to be easily exploitable, and people will do so whether you like it or not. I could say that the fact that they put a stripper pole in the game or a brothel in one expansion that the game shouldn't be in a 16+ category. We could also say that since people erotically roleplay, they should be banned for such things since they are abusing the in-game chat function that was not intended. There are a million ways you could say this game does not meet the requirements of a 16+. It just takes imagination.
Saying that since people can buy things together, they shouldn't use them doesn't matter because they will.
How about you live in reality for five and deal with the situation at hand instead of pushing head cannon and pretending you know the law or the internal thoughts of the dev team.
You are just participating in the form of low grade thought designed to push an unproportionate response.
For example, a reasonable step in the right direction would be privacy settings that would encompass things such as cultural beliefs, therefore if a glamour might be seen as degenerate it won't allow you to access their card or see it in PVP.
How about you provide more options to the player to protect themselves rather than lowering the quality of service to everyone.
"But I wanna take a close up of my crotch because I can", and really anything that is based on "because I can" is a stupid reason, at best.
There's really nothing more I can add to this other than: play stupid games win stupid prizes.
This situation seems like it's being exaggerated. From what I'm aware people are being reported and punished for simulating actual explicit content, suggestive butt shots, and links to onlyfans pages. Are people also being punished for having a bikini pic or something?
So far the only known and confirmed punishments have been for the extremes of simulated explicit content and absolutely extreme angles. Nobody has been actioned (that we know of) for just being in a skimpy glamour.
If anything, I think this thread is a bit of nonsense given what OP wrote about E8S. Yes, I know they had Ryne go magical girl and just get covered by Hraesvelgr. They were going for the link between Shiva and Hraesvelgr in particular, but I guess they wanted to appeal a little bit with a tiny bit of nuance. If anything, E8S has nothing to do with Adventurer Plates.
A reminder, of course, is that actions(this INCLUDES adjusting Portraits, mind you) that depict explicit conduct or sexual conduct in-game are warrants for a strike against your account. The community at large has already said they find it distasteful when it comes to people showing off their butts with 2B bottoms and depicting sexual acts in it.
Comparing Ryne in a natural cover up to adventure plates that are obviously suggestive is a bit of a reach.
That one lame hyur that was using a certain facial emote and using the wooden SAM sword to imply holding a certain body part is a bit too far.
One of my FC friends got a 3 day for having a picture of his catboy with a bikini on and the hearts covering the bottoms, no suggestive poses or anything, just his character standing there doing the pose with his hands behind his head. Obviously there are "implications" with how he positioned his character with the hearts, but still...
