Does the issue only happen in a specific instance/area or with a specific character? No, it seemed to happen in all areas. Had a handful of crashes while on a different world, but even when returning to my home world it continued. Both in high population areas such as Uldah and low areas such as some of the 6.0 leveling zones.
Have you tried updating Windows with the latest recommended and optional updates? Yes, I did. That was the first thing that came to mind. I had no windows specific updates, but I did have some minor Nividia ones, crashes continued even after.
Have you tried rolling back your video card drivers to a previous version? No, but given it was happening both before and after the drivers for those had been updated, I'd guess that probably wasent the issue, of course I could be wrong.
Wired or wireless connection: Wired connection.
Do you have any firewall/anti-virus software installed on the PC? If so, which ones? Yes, I use Avast. I did attempt turning it off before launching the game, as well as running 14 in administrator mode. Neither seemed to make a difference.
As of right now, Ive done 3 full deletions of the game, and then full reinstalls, while making sure every bit of leftover data from 14 was scrubbed between each to the best of my knowledge. As of right now, the 3rd time SEEMS to have worked, however I have avoided things like traveling to other worlds and sitting in cutscenes since then. Im honestly stumped as to what reasons its working now. I did nothing different between the 2nd and 3rd attempts. Given these issues only seemed to start after 6.1, I can only assume something in that time period changed. As far as I remember, I did not download any updates at the time of the first issues mentioned in my post with the 6.1 related cutscenes. These issues seem to only be "fixed" by completely deleting the game, and then redownloading it. But even then its hard to say if this is only a temporary fix or not, given this is the 2nd time ive delt with issues. If theres any more info that could be useful, id be glad to let you know.
