why we still got race restricted hair??

what propose it serves? make all race specific hair be usable by all. why can t a mid lender use one of the anime hairs the au ra got or the the ou ra one from the elezen? then the hole badly managed way the new races got hairs need to go out the window. i know yushi likes to pretend make hair is hard and all bit come on we know moderns can do it in not that long time. when we as the one that make it so THE DEVS EBEN HAVE A JOB AND GET PAYED will stop pretend its ok and start be more demanding.

I desire to have some wavy/curly hairstyle for my Eleezen & I am envious the male Viera’s & Roegadyn’s has some cool wavy/curly hairstyles.

If anything I’ve noticed majority of the hair styles are uber slicked as though I had a cow licked my hair to remain straight & stiff.

I assume it's that visually-different hair has the same reference number across different models (like an extreme version of the unlockable styles that do something completely different by gender) and perhaps can't easily be untangled.

come one don't use this cheap excuses. i know you do not mean it in a bad way. thing is its really easy to port the hair from one had to another. look up what moders do for this game. mind yo the moderns do not have the tools the devs do.

You can have the viera hairstyles when viera can wear headgear and can use the mogstation and unlocked hairstyles.
Till then let us have at least something unique as a race.

Also I am guessing that you mean modders, modding is totally different than implementing something server side into the game officially.
Just because modders can do something easily doesn't mean that the actual devs can that's not how it works.

You can't say that without having a behind the scenes view, game dev isn't as simple as you might think that it is.

Just because modders can do something easily doesn't mean that the actual devs can that's not how it works.

its not magic its WORK. they just lazy out of it. thing is you need maybe 2 people to work on it and by the next patch its all be done. you make it WAY more hard that it is.

As someone actually in college for 3D design, please don't act like that's in any, way, shape or form the same. Also doesn't give you any sort of knowledge on what is actually going on.

It's not a matter of them being lazy, it's just not a priority. Small things like this are put on the backburner for whatever time isn't spent on major jobs such as any models needed for upcoming patch MSQ, new gear being put into the game (such as crafting/gathering gear, raid gear), things that players actually need to progress further in the game. Would more hairstyles and such be nice? Sure. But it's not going to prevent people from playing the game by not having them. They're also working on fem Hroth as far as I'm aware of, so the team they do have is probably already spread thin as it is.

I'm not talking about fitting hair to heads, I'm talking about making them available in the menu. If the race-specific hairstyles are taking up slots 1-12 and the universal styles start at #13, it's not just a matter of unlocking the styles but, at the very least, creating new numbers for them at the end of the list.

(I would not be surprised if there is actually an upper limit somewhere to the amount of hairstyles they can add over the life of the game – otherwise I feel like they might be a bit more generous with multiple versions of things so they can get more mileage out of a single model. Like, instead of just the Wind Caller model they could have released three with different headbands and people would have spent three times as many coins collecting all the options. But instead they only add one.)

That said, races do seem to have different numbers of specific styles, so maybe there's a bit of leeway for opening some up.
