what propose it serves? make all race specific hair be usable by all. why can t a mid lender use one of the anime hairs the au ra got or the the ou ra one from the elezen? then the hole badly managed way the new races got hairs need to go out the window. i know yushi likes to pretend make hair is hard and all bit come on we know moderns can do it in not that long time. when we as the one that make it so THE DEVS EBEN HAVE A JOB AND GET PAYED will stop pretend its ok and start be more demanding.

I desire to have some wavy/curly hairstyle for my Eleezen & I am envious the male Viera’s & Roegadyn’s has some cool wavy/curly hairstyles.

If anything I’ve noticed majority of the hair styles are uber slicked as though I had a cow licked my hair to remain straight & stiff.

jokes on you i want the au ra ones. but to be honest i want all have the same things. no one be left out. thing is the limited races are as much on the devs as on the people willing to use them. don't use half made work and expectations of it to be finished later . it wont be.

I believe the real answer is that having restrictions just makes things more simple to work with. When you have to adapt something to each race, that's more work you gotta put in to make it look good (although those Hrothgar hairstyles...).

Some might argue that it gives races "uniqueness", and it does to the extent of "X race is unable to use Y race's hairstyle."

This seems kind of silly to me, however, for I've yet to find a reason why a certain race might not be able to style their hair in a certain way while another one could.
