No thank you. We don't need them to get further behind what they are now with new content. I'm pretty sure they don't need beer which could cause them bad health conditions.

Might be a good idea. If they get drunk enough then they might accidentally give each job a distinct and fun identity

The Devs are not your friends, sure some may have passion for their work and maybe enjoy it but ultimately ... you do your job you get your money.
None would be in the dev team if not for one motivational factor ... money, there not there for the players and you know what ... that's how live works and no one can fault them for it because that's what almost everyone does in their own way.
And with the current game cycle and content, I'd rather not get them the idea they need to be rewarded.

No. Let them people work, I'm not paying extra for them to have fun or whatever. They can have fun when they'll come home.

OP, you're a kind person, please, never change.
That said, keep in mind that Mr. Naoki Yoshida is also a member of the board of directors of SQEX (A multi million dollars company), director of one, if not their most successful game.
He has enough goodwill inside the company to make a lot of things happen, including rewarding a job well done.

Unfortunately corporate would step in with anything like this and take their cut.
Would I if it could be assured they wouldn't? Yeah. I'm a software engineer. I understand the importance of feeling like what you coded matters and how morale is factor in being a good architect of code. I would be willing to give them that show of appreciation. Especially since I can only imagine the stress they're all under right now. It's not fun to have a bug at all and feels even worse if it makes it to the customer.
Nobody else has to agree or do the same. That's just my personal take. I would do it out of solidarity because I've been there.

@OP: at a personal level, i'd love to buy the writing team a beer (and might take the opportunity to mildly drown the people in charge of healers on the balance team).
but as part of some weird mogstation cash shop thing? hell no, that seems scammy as hell.
