    Even though there is definitely some trolling/abuse but in my experience most people do at least try to use it for its intended purpose.
    One thing which I'm still not sure about when it comes to the actual skill itself, is sometimes when I use it and (I think) I'm definitely in time to save the person from the damage, while they're being dragged over to me they'll get hit by something and still end up dying.

    You definitely 'Rescued' the thread.

    Jokes aside, pulling the player to you is no different than if the player started running towards you. If they are not out of the AoE by the time the cast completes, they will still take the damage from the attack. It could be a latency issue, but the more likely cause is you didn't pull the trigger in time. The hesitation is the biggest reason why players will still take damage. There is a bit of a sweet spot for Rescue somewhere between 60-80% cast time. >80% don't even bother rescuing them. Rescue is best used on someone who clearly has no idea they are not where they are supposed to be.
