You should be able to use rescue in a party in the over world and it should not be a slide but similar to swtor, an up an over

I'm now reminded of the fact that a certain NPC in one of the role quests rescues out you of a mechanic in a manner that is far quicker and more practical (Basically the same as NIN's Shukuchi) then the awkward delayed slide the player version utilizes.
