AMD Radeon 6K GPU users I need feedback!

    Hey fam!

Got a question for AMD Radeon 6K GPU users. How is FF14 performing for ya?

I've heard AMD Radeon was having issues with FF14 about a year or so ago. Google isn't giving me anything except for Radeon 5K issues but not 6K. Probably my trash google-fu so I figured I'd ask here to help me consider my new graphics card.

    Thanks for the help!

Do you have problems with this GPU?

I have a RX 6700 XT and it runs fine. I have the frame rate capped at 60 FPS (for uh... physics.. reasons) and it can lock 60 at 1440p just fine as you'd expect, except in places like Limsa where the game becomes CPU bound.

The only complaint I have about the card is that AMD's frame rate capping solution (Radeon Chill) doesn't always keep the framerate capped for some reason. At loading screens, like when entering a dungeon, you click Commence on duty finder and the screen fades to black as game loads in the dungeon, then Radeon Chill stops working and the framerate shoots into the 500-600 range. Then, once the dungeon is loaded and the screen fades back in, Radeon Chill starts working again and brings the framerate back down to 60. This is only really an issue because the game stutters for a second as the framerate re-stabilizes.

It also stops working when the title screen cinematic plays. So I find that if I had to suddenly get up and leave the computer for a while, and the game has booted me for inactivity, I come back to a room that is a few degrees warmer than I left it because the video card has been cranking away at 500 fps for some reason while just playing a video over and over.

Nvidia's framerate capping solution in their driver control panel doesn't have this behavior; the framerate cap is always active.

If you're wondering why I use a driver-level framerate cap instead of the game's VSync options it's because I have a Freesync monitor so I don't want to use Vsync, and the monitor is 144 Hz, so the game's implementation of framerate options doesn't even offer 60 FPS as a target.

No problems. Primarily looking into upgrading and remembering past news and I'm unable to get a solid verification searching w/ google.
