Had some hands on time with PLD since patching. Riot Blade and Goring Blade do about 100 damage more, and my HP is slightly higher than before.
I know there's the whole "Be happy about any buff your job gets" but this is highly underwhelming thus far. Further playing will dictate the full usefulness of the update for PLD.

I know there's the whole "Be happy about any buff your job gets" but this is highly underwhelming thus far. Further playing will dictate the full usefulness of the update for PLD.
While the Paladin WS upgrades still seem negligible to me, the Hallowed Ground adjustment has come in handy in more than one situation involving magic damage (15 seconds before hellfire or after hellfire, depending on how you wanna use it).
But most importantly, the buff to blocking that prevents spell interruption is a HUGE boost to survivability. Stoneskin can be put up regularly during primals and when used in conjunction with a shield block ability like Divine Veil or Aegis Boon, you can assure your next cure will be cast.
All in all, I'm digging the update, and I think that PLD is very wieldable in any situation. You can argue that it still isn't as useable as WAR, but at this point, I don't care. The job works as a tank and I don't think I'll debate about it anymore.
I would wait to see how badly WAR is nerfed to QQ about PLD.
well drg sure became awsome i just tested it Power surge 3 gave me like 348 attack (it takes really long real long)
Impulse vorpal and chaos are amazing now i can excute them without fear of acc, ring of talons for some reason does the same damage as doom spike so am guessing doom spike is modified by str or pie and Ring of talons is modified by Attack.
jump is really nice.
the only downside is you have to excute alot of ws in order to get powersurge3 to pop (and no there is no animation lock for it)
this buff for drg is simply amazing really
Dragoon is so beyond the point of OP it's not funny.
I have 672 base attack and when Power Surge 3 is up i'm at 1,018 before food.
Understandable, but I'm interested in the long term impact the loss of TP charge up and upkeep will do in the long run with fights. Also input timing is reduced as well by this. I have a feeling that these things are being overlooked in the overall changes, and are going to have a huge impact on the average Dragoon performance.
