Equipping Armour + Weaponry Directly From Inventory Screen?

Hey Devs and fellow players,

Apologies if this has already been suggested somewhere else on the boards... but this idea keep re-occurring to me almost every time I was trying to create materia from an item I currently had equipped.

Will there be a feature in 2.0 whereby I can equip or un-equip itms directly from the inventory screen rather than have to first go over to "Gear" on the main menu, remove my stuff, then back to inventory screen?

Hope so. I also remember reading that equipped armor won't take up your inventory slots like it currently does.
