    Mounting Chocobo Via Macro Instead

I have configured my chocobo mount to use a key on the keboard. Say G for instance. How do I go about putting that in a marcro line so it works instead?

I know you can do stuff in macro that type message. For Example:

    /p Hello

and that will type Hello in party chat.

I cannot figure out how to get the g key to be used in a macro other then typing the letter g which puts it in a say line by default.

    /g
    /"G"

None of that seems to work. I even tried to change the shortcut to the insert key and tried:
    /insert
    /"Insert"

With and without spaces after the /.

    Nothing seems to help.

Anyone got this working? If so please if you don't mind share your syntax for your macro line. Thank You.

As far as I can tell, there's no way to make a macro to use a keyboard shortcut. Those are only intended to be used, well, with a keyboard. If you've configured it to G, you can call your chocobo simply by hitting "G" on the keyboard, or if you're using the "chat-specific keyboard" option, you'll have to use CTRL+G.

If you're using a gamepad, you can easily call your chocobo from the micro-menu, you should have a key configured to access that (as in, you really should... if you don't already, go set one in the game config)

I don't see what putting mount/dismount in a macro would allow you to do that you can't already do with fewer keystrokes right now.

At any rate, there are other threads already requesting the addition of /mount and /dismount commands.

There is no macro, only a keyboard shortcut option. I set mine to Page Up.

I set mine to ctrl+m, really there seems to be little need for a macro for this.

It's not hard on a control pad though, it's right there on the micromenu, not a lot of difference between hitting micromenu and go to chocobo, and hitting trigger and go to chocobo
