Do people just genuinely ignore calls? I see so many matches where you could quite literally be spamming "attack x" and its almost like it falls on deaf ears.
Not rage or anything I'm just curious and honestly kinda baffled.![]()

They don't always attack when asked and part of that is people spamming to the point where you get numb to it.
For me, if I am not attacking it is because I need hp, need to fallback, can't attack do to cc. There is almost never a situation where there is nothing to attack unless you are on the other side of the map alone trying to refill your hp or the other party is dead, or chasing strays away from crystal.

Hai! I'm Vahl, in ur mmorpgs, sort'n my inventory and putt'n 2 many H's in my name since FFXI..FFXIV Inventory Tetris Champ
Because most people using that quickchat just change targets every gcd thinking they're hot s**t. Most of the time, they're dumb targets full of MP and it's a way for them to shift blame on the team when they lose. Unless you know the shotcaller is a good player, ignore them and pick your own logical targets (low mp and being focused ones).
So ignore teamplay and fight whatever u want, sounds like these match where all enemies fall in HP and noone die. is always better to burst an enemy together
NGL, this is a bigger issue than people calling the "wrong" targets. 5 people focusing on the wrong target is much better than 2 people focusing on one target, 2 on the one THEY think is the best to focus on (and don't call it out), and 1 on yet another.Because most people using that quickchat just change targets every gcd thinking they're hot s**t. Also, it's dependent on range and positioning. If the person they were targeting leaves the crystal and starts running, it's probably best to swap to someone else at the crystal (unless the person running can be finished without too much trouble.
Tunnel vision, got jumped on, "im doing my job trying to kill this guy so i will let others can do it", simply ignore, etc.
There are a lot of reasons so it is depending on your luck of which kind of teammates you got. I usually have a marker in my hotbar to point out important targets. Doesnt always work though, as sometimes people will just ignore it completely. There will be some people that even have the "why do I need to listen to you?" attitude as well.
Well, it is pretty much expected in a this kind of game as we are completely strangers, cooperation is very uncommon. Still, i think markers are better than spamming chat though, easier to see too.
In case you are wondering why I have a different name, E and R are not very far.
That drags up to the very end of Crystal, people deliberately try to not target marks because they know better or have me oger mentality which means focus everything that is close only and any disengage is an target switch, so around 30% of all matches are already decided in the first 20-30 seconds.
I'll come out and say that i am prob one of those of "most people using that quickchat just change targets every gcd thinking they're hot s**t". But i swear to god that even if i have still not perfected my "target selection", it still makes more sense than seeing each of one of my teammates fight a different target, and for f. sake it happens one every 2 matches.
Usually, now that i am in diamond i wait a few secs to see if somebody else is going to lead (using quick chat, marking targets, etc.), but as long as nobody does i prefer to at least try to coordinate, and (as suggested in other posts and on PVPpaissa) if i see someone with 10% hp, 0 mp run away trying to use a potion or something i'll spam to kill him till my finger bleeds (while of course, seeing that i am trying to stop him myself i get cced by everyone and theyr grandmas).
