Glamour Dressers , in our apartments/houses

Hi there everyone , so i have some time in game , and after all this i got an apartment in my FC house , some furnishing and all , so wanted my galmour dresser as well ....Seemed logical to me that i can buy one since its such an important part in game , applying glamours and so on , but ...did you know YOU CAN'T BUY ONE FOR YOUR OWN HOUSE .... Like how does that make sense , have to go back to an Inn or the GC squadron to do glam...like ..why ... So if you think the same give a hand we might get our wish come true

Something something spaghetti code, if they try to implement an item for that it'll break something. I don't know the exact details, but it is the basic gist of why we aren't getting that.

It, like many other features, has been a thing for years though. People have asked for Glam Dressers to be added to housing. You'd think they'd have sorted it out by now but alas. They only now just figured out how to let us change glamours in Sanctuaries, so I really wouldn't hold your breath.

Close, if multiple people used it in the same location it crashed the servers.

Why not just restrict it so that only people in the apartment, house, or free company that have the appropriate privileges can use them. Then further restrict it so that when someone uses a glamour dresser, IT WILL NOT WORK while a house is in editing mode. The item would basically become completely useless unless completely out of editing mode in housing.

What happens if someone opens it before another person opens editing mode? You likely run into the same problem.

I think the best option is probably to make them exist only I rooms and apartments, limiting who can use them to the owner of that room. Less lucrative perhaps, but sidesteps the inherited 1.0 issues

Then make it so that it kicks them out of the glamour dresser when someone tries to do that. That way there isn't a crash, or it could even say "can't edit house, wait until someone is using the glamour dresser".

There's no easy solution for this, so it will have to be a bit more complicated.

You don't need to know anything about MMO servers and/or scripts.

It's just that they don't want to put any resources into it.

As an indie game dev sometimes it's not a lazy excuse, it's a triage excuse.

They could fix it, by entirely overhauling how the code works for both districts and dressers and how the databases function, but then you have to build a new code base specifically for translating data over from one to the other because often the issue is 'fuck a fundamental issue with how we stored this data makes this happen so we have to store it in some new way', unless you want them to just wipe both dressers and housing area databases and make us all start from scratch? Is this feature worth that? It'd probably cut down the coding time by at least half if it was!
