This man actually a genius. The right time to leave an FC is the moment you want to leave. You're not married to your FC so you can leave at a moments notice.
I've tried at least 20 different FCs and it just never clicked with me. Sometimes FCs aren't for people. I went solo for about a year before finally making my own FC simply cause I got tired of the random Blind Invites.
Also having an entire FC chest for yourself is amazing.

when?I joined a FC a couple weeks ago when I transferred to Hyperion. Sadly my schedule doesn't usually meet with any of their events and I can never attend any savage raiding. I am thinking of leaving this FC and go solo until I can find one where meets my time schedule
Whenever you feel wise or interesting.
I think FCs are a great way to meet people and combine to make game content together. But if you want to switch to another one that's more active or more on your schedule, go for it! Leaving a FC is not the same as declaring war on it. You can keep your friends there in an LS or through Discord chats.
Some people try to make an FC "the only place in the world to have friends" (especially some FC leaders). Don't fall for it. The more you meet people, the more opportunities to play with someone becomes your routine.
Today, I have my own FC, but with nobody else inside it. It's just for my main and all my alts (Company Chest and the possibility to have house more easily). But, this doesn't mean I play alone. I always invite my friends to make stuff together and i participate in some of their FC's discords as well. Whenever I can, I try to help everybody's FC activities.![]()

It's an interesting question.
I left the FC I was previously in to follow my in-game Wife to one she joined. Despite what she may think, she fits in pretty damn well in that FC. I, however, don't. I, sadly, have a very limited window of time in which I can be in-game, and it's usually 22:00ish until whenever I'm too tired to continue (but not later than 1am). The FC are done with their raids etc by the time I log in.
Add to the issue that even if I were online, and invited to one of their raid teams, I probably wouldn't accept, as they usually play Savage content, which is too far above my (very low) skill ceiling. I'd feel like a complete burden to the team if I were to participate in that.
I haven't really 'fit in' in the social sense either, but that's more of a 'me' thing.
I am, therefore, contemplating returning to the FC I left.
This. An FC should never be a static facilitator. Unless you're 100% clear on that being the case, limiting the FC to 8 members max and removing people when players rotate in and out, etc. but that just seems like a lot of effort that a Linkshell and Discord could easily replicate.
My old FC started falling apart when they decided to start tackling savage "as an FC", it resulted in forming TWO teams, which lead to a hierarchy between A team and B team, complications with substitutions, running other content as "A Team/B team" and ultimately several people left the FC and even the game entirely.
FCs should ultimately be used for either:
A. FC exclusive content; Workshop, Airships, Subs, FC buffs.
B. As a social group who want to share their gameplay experience, and to use the house as a hub.
If you can answer "am I getting value in either of these?" then you know if you want to be in that FC.
When it's another of those 10/400 players or the ones that seems to have billions of members and don't talk

Another case is when you are new to a FC with 20 or more people online and they don't give a chocobo's piss about your existence even if you are the one that says; "good morning, folks!" and find no answer. Not a single one time... everyday... everytime... '-'
And then you see they using the FC's chat for a lot of stuff they are doing without you or without inviting you and you ask stuff to find no answer amongst all their talks...
I had this at least 5 times. In all occasions I left these FCs. If it's not to receive/interact with a new member, why do they invite them? If the intention is to grow up numbers only, then invite another or a bot![]()

That sounds just like the last FC I was in before I made my own with 2 random people(one who left shortly after, the other who hasn't been online in over a year...just too lazy to kick them) and had 2 friends join. I'm basically the only one online, ever, and I get free use of the FC chest, as well as command of all the airships/subs.Another case is when you are new to a FC with 20 or more people online and they don't give a chocobo's piss about your existence even if you are the one that says; "good morning, folks!" and find no answer. The old FC, I would log in, say hello, and get silence(always checked the FC list to see who was online, and 90% of the time they weren't in any duties, and were usually sitting in a town/house somewhere). Considering I joined it due to an ex-friend, and helped her build up the FC to what it was and got the same treatment from them...it was definitely time to just leave it and do my own thing.
My FC keeps the buffs up, and stops people from spamming me with invites. Beyond that, it doesn't exist, which is fine with me.
I made my own fc because Im that allergic to people. Plan to leave it never.
When you find a new one that you fit in better. I'm only in my current FC for buffs really, I don't do actual content with them and I found one that was active and actually did content then I'd leave in a heartbeat.
