    PLD still feels lackluster even after buffs

    PLD is super fun as a support tank, however, it clearly is just not as good as Warrior who at this point should have been the Endwalker Poster Boy for the expansion instead of Paladin for how things are in both PVP and PVE...

    Here are some suggestions off the top of my head to improve PLD PVP:

    - Please give PLD the stun with Intervene the tooltip originally indicated - if Warriors can Primal Rend AOE stun, its only fair to allow PLD to get a single target stun with Intervene.

    - Allow the use of Holy Spirit (PLD feels incredibly slow and would actually take advantage of having Holy Spirit).

    Some slight damage tweaks would be nice but I doubt that will be the case.

    Holy Sheltron should just do a flat 8K when it's dispelled whether through damage or timing out and apply the heavy.

    It would help PLD to be a nuisance if it wasn't dependent on other people actually hitting them to be slowing them down.

    PLD doesn’t need damage buffs. It’s a high ceiling job that in the surface seems meh, but you just have to learn it’s strengths.

    PLD has the highest sustainability of any tank. It also has a ridiculously OP action “guardian” with sacred claim on an enemy and holy Sheltron up, between the three atonements and three ocgds it equals roughly 36k in heals/barrier. Plus 60k in pots. Your job is to eat your highest dps’ damage while they burst the current target.

    Not only that but every 2 mins your entire party gets 50% guard and you plus one party member get 10 sec invuln.

    Keep guardian on cooldown and you’ll see why PLD is so valuable.

    PLD would be the most broken job in the game if it had a stun on intervene, it would make WHM look like a joke. You have to remember this is an ability with a 10 second CD and two charges.

    A 2s stun on it would let you solo CC lock someone for 7 seconds straight on demand with intervene+bash+intervene and have another 2s intervene stun up in 3 seconds. 1 second stun would be 5s straight, which is still obscene. It would be like getting chain CCed by an entire team, which is already an issue in higher level play right now, except it would be caused by one person. Constantly. With no drawbacks and low cooldown.

    Increasing CD on intervene to compensate is a balancing problem as well, since intervene is your primary atonement generator. A big nerf to intervene cooldown is a big nerf to your damage and sustain due to how strong atonement is, the former of which is already low and the latter is one of PLDs main advantages.

    Really I think PLD would be fine with some numbers tweaks. It’s a high skill ceiling low skill floor job that relies a lot on player awareness and overall skill level in a fight. You see a fair amount of PLD in crystal already, and just tweaking numbers would probably be fine enough to get it in line with upper tier jobs. It’ll probably never be as good as the higher skill floor jobs in lower ranks, and it’ll still probably be easy to fail hard with against good players if you mess up, but I don’t think that’s necessarily that much of an issue. You never really balance completely around super low level play anyway.

    PLD/DRK objective its to waste everyone time, since their ultimates have no counterplay besides .. staring.

    Paladin has more healing than a healer right now with the added benefit of doing damage every time they heal.
    They pretty cancerous to get out of an objective and most end game palas afk on the crystal whilst proccing their charge and stun sustain on anyone that enters.
    Whilst, this isn't health for the job, they need to be viable somehow, so I don't know if damage and more shields and healing is the way. You already can't wrestle an objective out of them like you have the chance to do so with other tanks.
