Housing.....can you just not buy a house anywhere right now?

So im looking online and I attempted it myself. Can you not purchase houses anywhere? Like I know ishgard has the lottery issue, but Iv found open lots and attempted bidding and couldnt place a claim on it these lots have been open well over 24 hours and in some cases an entire week. And they still aren't buyable, what is happening?

This is correct, at present no housing can be purchased at present.
Please wait until the bugs have been fully resolved and tested by the development team.
The bug fixes are not ready to be implemented as of yet. This is all the information we know at present.

Simple answer, not being able to purchase housing is not a bug, this is intended behavior at the present time. The lottery system has been suspended.
More detailed answer as to why this is, please read below for information.

Starting with patch 6.0 a new "lottery" system was introduced, it has been applied to *all* housing areas.
When houses are sold the will be returned to the pool of available housing to be available for the next lottery period.

The system was enabled with the 6.1 patch, but had technical issues, it is currently suspended until bugs are resolved.
Players who have won the lottery on housing, and results displayed correctly, are able to complete the housing purchase.

Players who have encountered the "winning lottery ticket is zero, there were no participants" error will need to wait for the correct lottery results to be overwriten on the housing managment server.
There have been many topics and discussions here (bug report forums) if you look around.

Well went through losing housing 1st time. 2nd time waited a day not able to put in a bid at all , say they are fixing, ok. By rules you have 5 days to bid, but fine they're fixing it so again a loss. Third times a charm right? Wrong! Still can't bid on housing. Wait and all I get is view results.
Now it's 5/1/22 so with all this time passed try to bid again,I can't. Write to support and it falls on deaf ears. I'd rather click on the button. It's heart ranching as for the first time I got in and sat on a large for 20 hrs to lose it to a glitch, then can't bid at all and keep hearing opps in letters and nothing at all when asking for assistance. Just watching all the larges go bye bye.

There has only been one lottery thus far. The waiting has been due to them fixing the errors that resulted.

Well i try to get a house from the first day that the new area open from plot 19-24 , i tried at every time and every day! I also send an email for that but nobody can explain me why i dont have the choice of 'enter to lottery" as other player have, i hope somebody can solve my problem aswell!

This is correct behavior at present, lottery system is currently suspended and housing purchases are also suspended for all housing areas.

Thanks for th reply now i check it, but dont you think its a bit unfair that some player get advanage of this and get allready a house? What happens to other players who werent able to purshapse? We will w8 until 16 of may to get the 30 house that left..?

@OP: correct. currently many houses are currently owned by players (who won the first lottery), but due to an apparent communication error between their backend and frontend servers they were erroneously displayed as "nobody wins". the backend has the correct data, so currently housing lotteries are on hold until they can overwrite the botched frontend data properly and work out a solution for the winners to properly pay for and claim the house plots they initially won.

meantime, we wait till then and once that fix gets rolled out, bid on whatever plots areavailable after that.
