Overall, the direction of PvP is far better than it has ever been. I might be "only" arround since Stormblood times, but PvP since then, was way worse especially in the balance department.

Combat itself was painfully long and healers could stall their death until the next Server down. And Feast itself? A absolute joke where your only chance of climbing up was trough winnteading, alt character eliminating rivals and queuing during Quiet hours so that noone notices you and your "friends". PvP back then was basically a exclusive Club where always the same People sacked in the rewards and good riddance that this mess is finally gone.

And you can bet that i will be forever upset about the fact that i will never be able to get my hands on one of my favorite Enemies as a Mount, which was the Dreadnought, despite giving my all and many evenings for the attempt to even reach the halfway point.

The direction of chain cc and instakill skills? Stuff like "3% chance of doing 100% damage" is truly the pinnacle of game design, right?

Slow combat is not necessarily a bad thing. PvP will never be perfectly balanced but at least back then it was compatible with FF14's playerbase. It was very lenient, accessible, worked well with the weird server tick shenanigans and was playable across all three modes (it wasn't only about Feast).

Also, I miss playing an actual healer in pvp.
