This! This tbh!I feel the need to remind everyone that this "fun" and "popularity" happens every single time a new PvP mode comes out. It happened with Feast, it happened with Rival Wings, it happened with Shatter. It's new content. Just because something is new doesn't make it popular. Give it time. It'll die like everything else has when the spark wears off. The difference right now is that FFXIV had a huge influx of players last year, so more people playing the game than ever before. More content creators streaming and pushing the game than ever before. And most importantly, there is the battle pass and Makai events rolling out at the same time inspiring motivation for new glamour farms. There is a lot of incentive to play PvP atm therefore making it appear more popular with artificial reasons to play. Just because something is active doesn't mean it's fun or balanced.
- The amount of CCs can be reworked & I wish you could counter that right away by actively activating the anti cc, silence buff & remain so for 3 secs least,
- Its irritable not able to have lasting skirmishes as you’re guaranteed to be given instead deaths due to the overcrowded herd of individuals that plays chicken constantly & hate to reference this but WoW’s battlegroung capture the flag had it good & it was fun to have on and off skirmishes while preventing the opposition to get to their objectives
- have PvP 1 vs 1 duels available outside major cities
- Make PvP rewards & currency simple & comprehensive enough
- Add in more PvP battlegrounds; expand it

The real question is when Garo is done, what will happen to PVP. The Feast was quite popular at first but it also died. For me CC just needs adjustments, job re -balance and better match making. Otherwise it's a good mode.

The only memorable monks are Nex Cross and Djinn Seng.

Thank you for saying this. I feel most of the people that defend CC are those who never played PVP from the beginning. We were there when The Fold is active, when Feast was good (more skills to play around) and when Frontlines & Rival wings still has "strategies" and not just YOLO games. The current CC is unbalanced and most of the problems that Feast had is still there (trading, cheats etc.). We only wish for PVP to thrive and hopefully they fix this problems soon.I feel the need to remind everyone that this "fun" and "popularity" happens every single time a new PvP mode comes out. The top 20 pvprs (legit ones, who are dueling legends) dislike CC and the moves associated to the classes. They (square enix) robbed the real pvp endgame.
It's fun for only CC and imbalances every other mode.
The 1 v 1 competitive tier list is out and PLD/RDM (Not big news), are banned from competition use.
Nin and Mnk are top tier for specific reasons. The flow of fighting is but also isn't balanced at the same time. With no class able to compete vs Mnk or Nin in a serious fight.
"Dueling" is better than these pvp modes and that is even dead to a degree as well.
Those who say dueling isn't good, please watch those who you revered so much be easy lambs to the slaughter houses for the real ones. I'm not putting names out.
