Let us discuss in many ways how current pvp has completely decimated the pvp community for those who knew the difficulty and skill expression from past tiers to what we have now.
Can I get an input from everyone's opinion on PVP.
FYI - Do not complain if you aren't in the competitive scene. I was a world class Monk last tier but the skill I displayed was definitely top 10 worthy. Nobody in the world was able to beat me unless you were the top players. (I was able to kill all classes except a Good PLD/GNB/DRK until Limit Break). PvP isn't meant to be casual. It is a test of skill and reflexes.
We have a very "dumbed down" version of PVP considered "fun". From what we had last tier of 16 buttons to now losing 4 buttons doesn't really make pvp more "fun". When you make it linear and super simplified, it completely removes the expression. Plus stockpiling moves into a single button also removes "skill" by a huge margin.
In my opinion when you simplify things you take away many aspects of a skill based mode requires. The community as a whole needs a way to express their hard work just like how they mastered their PvE Skills. PvP should keep its 16+ buttons including oGCDs which can be woven/weaved (depending on ping) for optimal burst or situational use.
We can talk about other aspects needed in PvP. Limit Break is fun but I do not think we should balance classes with LB. That just imbalances everything. A class should be able to kill without an LB and use LB for other safe measures.
Health and potency needs major reductions and using MP to heal is just preposterous. I have never heard of requiring MP/mana to heal except Healers having a use for MP to heal. But removing roles does butcher PvP if you try to make everyone feel the same, then there is no diversity.
I am now probably repeating myself and haven't proof read this thread.
