You heard about Blue Mages during the CoP era, 2 years before ToAU.

You heard about Corsairs from Pirate musings and Crystal War musings from random NPCs before ToAU as well. "During the War pirates used to be larger in number and more active at sea (Corsairs.)"

Puppetmaster was the only thing that got mentioned during ToAU reveals given it was originally intended to be Necromancer, which you heard about and did quests regarding Necromancy in CoP. So once again it's not laziness, because we already get dialog in this game regarding a floating city we don't have access to and western lands and Eorzea is but one small corner of the world...so is SE being lazy, or are you just being anal about something perfectly acceptable for no reason?

I'll like to add that SAM and NIN was brought to us by an expansion pack with new zones
In XI, it was brought to us via the Tenshodo, aka it fit your "need lore!" requirement. It was brought in with the Zilart expansion, aka Norg, which is also the 'main base of the tenshodo'. So while it may be a far-eastern art, we don't need to go to a far eastern land to learn it because it can be taught elsewhere. Why do you think in the real world you can learn martial arts that originated in the east without needing to go to the east? It's like..people who studied it brought it over to teach others or something..

The fact of the matter is the nature of these new jobs came from somewhere.
And they implemented it perfectly fine without needing new zones. They can implement all the classes and jobs they want especially since their original plan was to add them in patches and not expansion packs.

fyi Elexia, NIN, SMN, SAM and DRG was brought on over with the Rise of the Zilart expansion if i remember correctly, along with the NA release. Don't get me wrong I understand what you're saying, but you're misunderstanding me and seem to take offense. I just prefer they don't go the lazy way and just put an npc that ran off from his homeland from some far off continent and is willing to teach you the arts of bluemage. I want to actually go there on an adventure instead and not be bond by the same repetitive zone.

However with your analogy, if I want to go over shores to learn shaolin kung fu, I can surely do so. Same reason why people travel over seas to go to universities.

NPCs talked about them long before Zilart, much like you did errands for a guy who was in business with the near east through a Blue Mage, which didn't get released until ToAU, however they were present in the game world long before being even a job choice which is the point. You don't need new areas or an expansion to add in new jobs, especially since the lore for them can exist prior to it, which happened with the new jobs in FFXIV thus far.

They don't need to make new zones to implement jobs, especially since a lot of jobs in XI came in with a patch, not an expansion that added new zones, which is exactly what they planned to do with XIV, make new classes via patches rather than full blown expansion packs which is what a lot of MMO developers does when adding new classes. Lore is nice and all, but I can guarantee the majority care for how a new job/class will affect gameplay rather than the life of a Summoner or Red Mage who decides to teach you his art.

with the lore we have now, I would rather them work on that first instead. there is room for beastmaster, musketeers, arcanist and a slight hint for necromancer, and even summoner. leave the far eastern stuff for actual full fledged expansions is what I want.
