I'm back from Lost Ark

It looks visually great but I don’t like the isometric view and I also dislike how the combat functions more like a fighting game reminds of Diablo or other games.

The story and voice acting don’t seem great either.

I hate the lack of outfits in the global version of Lost Ark, idk why Amazon refuses to put more outfits in the cash shop u.u They miss the chance to sell a shit ton of outfits when the game had more than a million active players

sadly thats not how lost ark or any f2p kr mmo works

I think you can buy most of the cash shop outfits with gold in the marketboard anyway

Yeah all of the outfits can be bought with gold so you don't miss glams as an F2P.

You don't even have to wait for that to happen, you can just get the cash shop currency by trading gold directly for it and then buy the thing you want off the cash shop without spending any money.

In the end of the day I think that yes Lost Ark is P2W.
To what extent is a different matter, I'd also say that GW2 is P2W but to a very small degree.

There's degrees to this the question is moreso where Lost Ark lies rather than if it is.

Fair enough, but I would say, at least for the moment, the game doesn't feel too heavily in favor of P2W players. At least not yet, not to me.
I think it would also depend on what kind of content you're trying to consume, but that's semantics anyway.

It's less cheese than EW story to be fair. Nothing can be worse than that , especially moon part and yoshi obsession with bunny ppl in this expansion...
Monster design also seems to be more diverse and impressive compared to re-colours of same mobs from arr across all expansion.
And ALL Lost Ark cutscenes are fully voice acted.

Game might be pay to win... but ffxiv was forcing Hrothgar to buy fantasia to change hairstyles plus they having massive shop on website, so would say that SE is also greedy asf.

Im sorry but Ive seen some of the cutscenes in Lost Ark and the character, writing/dialogue are just awfully generic and atrocious. Even current WoW's story is much more interesting that the odd generic mishmash of fantasy elements of the day.

Huge Diablo fan, though. Does it feel like Diablo as others have said?

Not really at the endgame. The raids become more and more MMO-like, and start feeling like Ultimates.
