I hate to be the one to bring immersion into this, but I do have to say shooting from over 50 feet is really hard to do accurately, let alone under pressure and the heat of battle. I would like to see range of accurate shots being a stat. The higher the level, the better you are at shooting at a higher range. This would mean a higher range overall, but if you are shooting from too far at low level, you'll be missing often.
The whole shooting below or above thing... it's too susceptible to exploits.
You're talking about a game where you can shoot through walls, do quadruple backflips while shooting upside down, turn one arrow into 300, and carry 999 arrows in one quiver without having them spill all over the place.
