From what I understand JP community is very opposed to what has been going on as well. It's just the NA side that has the super casuals that want the game to play itself.

JP as well as CN and KR. JP is vehemently against this kind of dumbing down (bless them for this) while CN and KR see what's coming down the pipe for them and have begun speaking out against it with just as much fervor. Let us hope that this is the beginning of a sea change at SE, where they re-align their job balancing direction away from the "one button to rule them all" approach that's currently dominant.
