I don't wanna go the way of samurai, they'll probably complain they can't perfectly land every TFC under brotherhood and get that whole mechanic removed

I think 6.2 DRG and AST will tell us if it will be this way. =(
Doesn't necessarily end with that. After all, look at what happened to Summoner; the simplification came gradually before the rework completely lobotomized it.
3:3:2 plus two positionals plus masterful blitz is too hard for the people who like the new Summoner. And if you think it's been oversimplified you'll be told to play harder content.
Short of Removing Riddle of Fire, how exactly could they simplify MNK even more than it already is?
If the dev team touches DRG I'll be kinda sad, but at least I'll always have reaper. There's also GW2 since ffxiv is kind of a sinking ship at this point, since all jobs will eventually become summoner and the people who can give feedback is only reinforcing the dumbing down of fun jobs.
From what I understand JP community is very opposed to what has been going on as well. It's just the NA side that has the super casuals that want the game to play itself. If the dev team touches DRG I'll be kinda sad, but at least I'll always have reaper. JP as well as CN and KR. JP is vehemently against this kind of dumbing down (bless them for this) while CN and KR see what's coming down the pipe for them and have begun speaking out against it with just as much fervor. Let us hope that this is the beginning of a sea change at SE, where they re-align their job balancing direction away from the "one button to rule them all" approach that's currently dominant.
Monk's too much for my monkey brain to play properly. 'course I don't ask them to simplify the job...You know. Git gud or don't play it. Simple as that.
