I'm all for this, really. More jobs = more variety = more choices!
I hope we can get some of that "Far Eastern" feel into this game, we already have those Kabutos but that's not quite enough. I miss Gis and their associated sets.
I most certainly will not hold you to that because they have given no indication at all that multiple jobs will branch from a single class. Why would anyone want that? Why would anyone want to be so similar to another class except for 5 job specific abilities when they could be entirely different with their own new weapon type, new ability set, new job traits that reflect their role (or did you forget about job traits?), new theme, new aesthetics? Why would anyone want their exp shared between BRD and THF with ARC being the base?

Please make THF it's own unique job, not relegate it to a class. Not that it would even make that much sense to suddenly go from daggers to katana. At the very least, do something like:
Class: Rogue
Job 1: Thief
Job 2: Ninja
Taking away from another post of mine, you could do this:
Give THF a large number of unique abilities.
Give NIN a large number of unique abilities.
Give Rogue a small number of unique abilities, that are NOT equippable when switching over to the job.
Doing this will give each class and job a lot more identity than if THF and NIN use all Rogue abilities, and only have a smattering of abilities to set them apart from each other. (Random example: If, at level 50, you have 5 unique Rogue abilities, you could shove in 10 unique abilities for THF and NIN rather than just 5 - not that you couldn't shove in more abilities if you wanted to, of course.)
well with the class job limitation we will see 2 jobs per each class.
There's not much point to the class system tbh.. When I'm on the game mostly everyone is on their Jobs... I feel its best to remove the class system and stick with the Jobs system.. and you can STILL level up by grinding, and still get Abilities via Quest/missions.

Agreed... They can still do the job change thing by keeping the job crystal we got. Changing jobs using weapons is limiting. Class system needs to go! I'd like to see how thf comes from archer when archer cant use a dagger...
