PVP shows a lot of promise with the current direction but it needs a ton of work. A ton. Of work. Classes are horrendously imbalanced and it shows in every encounter. Kill time almost feels great until you factor in crowd control and how there is absolutely no diminishing returns on cc abilities.

Crowd control is currently what's absolutely destroying my enjoyment of PVP because you either get stunlocked into the ground with next to no chance to react or you do the same to an enemy player. Either way, the kill feels completely unfair and not fun at all. I do not, in any way, enjoy the current state of crowd control. It's overwhelmingly overwhelming. I quit playing WoW PVP for the same reason back in the day. One has but to look at the hunter class alone, let everything else on top of it, back in Cataclysm, Mists and Warlords with how much ridiculous crowd control that one class alone could dish out in such a short span of time while doing immense damage as well to see that we have years - YEARS - of information on this game design style on hand. That was the kind of out of hand nonsense design that caused the devs to put in diminishing returns on crowd control in PVP in the first place. We at least need diminishing returns on crowd control here if not an overhaul of the entire crowd control ability set across classes. It's dismal right now.

Otherwise I'm excited to see where PVP goes, because I really do think it shows a ton of promise. It just needs heavy work.
