    Hi I’m Fufu.
    I enjoy pvp quite a bit, for me it’s the competitive and fun of outplaying another player. I like it, it’s the thrill of the battle.
    I have…144 Ranked Matches
    Currently Crystal Tier with 500~ crystal credit
    I’ve played roughly ~200ish total matches by achievement maybe more no exact number.
    So I’ve got like 65-75% win rate.
    I use WHM/WAR/MCH/BRD/DRG interchangeably, and can usually turn the tide on my own by using well timed abilities.

    I enjoy the thrill of the fight, winning is cool but I’m mainly here to just do battle and beat you into the dirt. So I’m always picking off high priority targets, and trading blows with the high focus targets, im that player that goes directly for the enemy healer, MCH, or SAM and keeps constant pressure on them or killing them so even if my team is “bad” they can usually stumble on point long enough to exshausted the other teams resources while I burnt down their top damage dealer or support.

    Pvp is not fun for me because:

    1. They take away from my character in exchange for something I don't feel connection with - my pve skills. I absolutely understand why they design pvp jobs differently and don't have much problem with it, but it still feels disconnected from the character I leveled up and used to play.
    2. Visually it's a hot mess. Everything's moving fast, something hits you, something slows you, something stuns you and if it's a big teamfight you can hardly understand what's going on and it feels like you don't have to by design. The only thing you have to do is react to that "something", which brings me to...
    3. Everyone can selfheal, everyone can cleanse, everyone has a shield. Your typical teamfight is a heal fest that comes down to whoever didn't use these three on cd. This cd based gameplay reminds me of overwatch a lot where if you have your cds - you win, if you don't - oh well. For me personally it's really boring.
    4. Technically it's clunky. You can't really tell if you're in range unless you're on top of someone as a melee, sometimes you are in range but the skill does not hit and so many more problems due to the fact that the combat is tab-target. They tried to make pvp action-based and fast but the game engine just doesn't compliment this attempt at all in my opinion.

    PvP is fun as long as the games are not insanely one-sided.

    Some teams get steamrolled so badly that it feels like I'm dealing with a premade sometimes...and there apparently are multiple ways you can "cheat" the system to get matched with friends more often, including abusing the language settings.

    Not really. No. Not ranked or frontlines at least. My days are spent dropping 90% of my matches because of suspicious behavior from the enemy team, or my own team blatantly throwing. I have never been more miserable with PvP in this game.

    I love it, it's great!
    Watching folks attack tanks while the healer sits in the back is awesome!
    Watching DPS target other DPS while two healers sit in the back healing is awesome!
    Watching folks fight while a single enemy team member pushes the crystal to victory is awesome!

    Fighting 1v5 because your entire team chased enemies behind pillars to be murdered is...you guessed it...awesome!
    RNG Ranked is a very special thrill, and the person who invented it is a great person! May they live in interesting times, yes!

    Overtime...I just don't have the words to describe such a fun sensation when losing after dominating the entire match due to this WONDERFUL mechanic!
    Even better, that whole streak bonus that doesn't occur when it should 90% of the time, that's a rocking awesome bit!

    My favorite though has to be the person calling targets, it is SO much fun to ignore the dangerous enemies and focus on the real threats instead!

    Gosh, this whole thing has been SO VERY AWESOME!

    I'm not really having fun since the honeymoon wore off. I've been stuck in gold for the past week because I'll get a couple decent matches, than 10 in a row where my teammates make me wonder if their brains are getting enough oxygen. More often than not when this happens the other team is perfectly coordinated with all LB's perfectly timed, all cc's perfectly timed, as if they are communicating somehow outside of the game's chat which shouldn't be possible since it's all solo queue.

    Getting platinum teammates who think they can solo the whole team makes me think the whole win-streak bonus was a really stupid idea.

    Job balance is completely busted on a mechanical level. A handful of minor potency tweaks won't fix any of this.

    Lack of chat is awful. Quick-chat spam with actual sound effects is far more obnoxious than normal pvp salt.

    None of this takes into the account that the overwatch-style gameplay really doesn't jive well at all with how the combat timing works in this game. I can't even tell you how many times I've died because I got stunned, and the purify took so long to actually do anything(I've had 2s+ delays) I was already dead by the time it kicked in...and this is with the cooldown triggering immediately so the game obviously recognized the button press. This doesn't fly at all when dealing with a mode that requires you to be able to react instantly.

    Also no diminishing returns for crowd control abilities. All the new control abilities added to the game and the only way to mitigate it is one ability on a 30s cooldown...IF IT EVEN WORKS! There hasn't been a single instance where the nullify effect of purify has actually functioned for me at all. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've purified a stun only to get stunned again immediately which shouldn't be possible. Purifying a stun should effectively give you a 5 second immunity. It doesn't. I think that one is straight-up broken. I've had more issues with stunlocking since 6.1 than any mmo pvp I've ever played in my life. I wish that were an exaggeration.

    All of these problems are in the new game-mode that all these job changes were designed around. Frontlines is much worse by several orders of magnitude.

    After doing a ridiculous amount of pvp to get shinies, at this point I can honestly say that I liked the old system better. It's just awful now. I'm trying to maintain what little enjoyment I can get out of it long enough to get the only things I want then I'm not touching it again until they add something worth enduring this hot mess for.

    I think the only reason people are enjoying it is because it's new, punchy, and easy to wrap your head around. But it's hopelessly broken.

    I feel like the semi-auto PvP bots are probably blame for this because I've seen way too many instances where people basically go from 100% to dead instantly without LBs involved because of how calculated the burst from the enemy teams is at times.

    They're programmed to automatically focus the lowest HP target in the vicinity, ignore players who are using guard, CC problematic abilities (Like SAMs using Chiten with a full LB gauge) and otherwise just make plays that would be considered "optimal" with no actual input from the player involved aside from movement.

    There's also add-ons that automatically shove you into a discord with anyone else who's using said add-on, which while not blatantly cheating like the aforementioned still offer a chance to coordinate and give your team a significant advantage regardless.

    I 100% agree, I was a Paladin once, with sheltron and full health. I was instant killed with out even seeing my health go down gradualy or an LB was cast. Feast was not like this, you have to time the teams skills and stun to LB kill one player. What happened to PVP?
