If you mean the first part then essentially asking, when someones already complained about in the forum, "do you guys actually like this?"
Is just used to find all the ones who hates it equally, so they can be like "Ye i hate it to." To confirm the opinion OP already has.

Just from reading the forum title, i already 100% know, OP is not enjoying the pvp, it's obvious as hell. He could might aswell have named it "Who else hate pvp?"
Because people who likes the pvp & who enjoys it, won't come here to the forum. Very few of them do. The people who comes to the forum are the complainers.
The ones who enjoy pvp is out pvping & having fun. So asking "who actually enjoys pvp?" in the forums, where its the haters hangout, what else are you looking for, than a cult following of other haters?

Considering I am the OP it is a bit worrisome that you know my thoughts and feelings more than I. Perhaps you have some insight into that. But that will have to wait for another time as this forum post is to find out what people enjoy about the new system and what they do not. I would very much like to here a more in depth understanding from you on why you feel either enjoyment or lack thereof out of pvp. Hence the reply asking you to further elaborate.

Again, I appreciate everyone's input and would like to hear more. I am personally getting a lot of new perspectives from many people and it is quite refreshing to hear from people with differing opinions.

People just need to remember that it's just a game and games are made to have fun.
FFXIV ranked system gives rewards and people want those rewards, in the process they list the reward higher then their own enjoyment this is where it goes wrong.

What I did was simple, I played very relaxed if I was in the last rank of a tier didn't care if I lost or won but always tried to analyze what I did wrong every match.
When I got two wins in a row I began to focus and hoped for a strike and keep on winning, if I lost the streak I would play two more rounds and see if I could get another streak.
If I didn't get another streak I would stop playing for a bit, do something else for half an hour or so. Relax drink some coffee listen to some music, all in all keeping it relaxed.

The first few days I did not do this, I kept playing, I kept pushing and got irritated when I lost.
I noticed I wasn't having fun anymore and so I switched up my game.

Keep in mind that having fun is the only reason why we play games.
There is nothing to lose nothing to gain only your own enjoyment.

As a GNB main? No.
Draw and Junction is bad game design. I wish it wasn't, but the devs need to realize it and re-design this ability instead of holding onto sunk cost fallacy.

I like it a lot, best content I've had for years tbh.
I play rank but that's not fun. Rank is never fun in any game
but I like a little competitiveness and I'm apparently a masochist but I think I've had enough lol.

My advice is Play Casuals if you know what's good for you.
Don't stress yourself out in rank it's a fudgin' nightmare.
MM is garbage. You can fight unranks to high Golds which is stupid.
You gotta hope you get a decent team and hope they don't play TDM while enemies run with Crystal.
You get sick of the Meta sweats with the same WHM/WAR/DRG/RDM and more combo's.
You get tired of seeing not progressing and it's frustrating.
At least in Casual's I see damn other tanks, healers and Reaper here and there
and it's way more fun and chill than Polystunpalozza x 1000 WHM with 20 kills

With people talking about hackers in higher tiers, I just don't feel like dealing.
I'm honestly happy at Silver so I think I'ma just stop where I'm at.

But yeah, I'm enjoying it still for now lol.

Hi I’m Fufu.
I enjoy pvp quite a bit, for me it’s the competitive and fun of outplaying another player. I like it, it’s the thrill of the battle.
I have…144 Ranked Matches
Currently Crystal Tier with 500~ crystal credit
I’ve played roughly ~200ish total matches by achievement maybe more no exact number.
So I’ve got like 65-75% win rate.
I use WHM/WAR/MCH/BRD/DRG interchangeably, and can usually turn the tide on my own by using well timed abilities.

I enjoy the thrill of the fight, winning is cool but I’m mainly here to just do battle and beat you into the dirt. So I’m always picking off high priority targets, and trading blows with the high focus targets, im that player that goes directly for the enemy healer, MCH, or SAM and keeps constant pressure on them or killing them so even if my team is “bad” they can usually stumble on point long enough to exshausted the other teams resources while I burnt down their top damage dealer or support.

Pvp is not fun for me because:

1. They take away from my character in exchange for something I don't feel connection with - my pve skills. I absolutely understand why they design pvp jobs differently and don't have much problem with it, but it still feels disconnected from the character I leveled up and used to play.
2. Visually it's a hot mess. Everything's moving fast, something hits you, something slows you, something stuns you and if it's a big teamfight you can hardly understand what's going on and it feels like you don't have to by design. The only thing you have to do is react to that "something", which brings me to...
3. Everyone can selfheal, everyone can cleanse, everyone has a shield. Your typical teamfight is a heal fest that comes down to whoever didn't use these three on cd. This cd based gameplay reminds me of overwatch a lot where if you have your cds - you win, if you don't - oh well. For me personally it's really boring.
4. Technically it's clunky. You can't really tell if you're in range unless you're on top of someone as a melee, sometimes you are in range but the skill does not hit and so many more problems due to the fact that the combat is tab-target. They tried to make pvp action-based and fast but the game engine just doesn't compliment this attempt at all in my opinion.

PvP is fun as long as the games are not insanely one-sided.

Some teams get steamrolled so badly that it feels like I'm dealing with a premade sometimes...and there apparently are multiple ways you can "cheat" the system to get matched with friends more often, including abusing the language settings.

Not really. No. Not ranked or frontlines at least. My days are spent dropping 90% of my matches because of suspicious behavior from the enemy team, or my own team blatantly throwing. I have never been more miserable with PvP in this game.

I love it, it's great!
Watching folks attack tanks while the healer sits in the back is awesome!
Watching DPS target other DPS while two healers sit in the back healing is awesome!
Watching folks fight while a single enemy team member pushes the crystal to victory is awesome!

Fighting 1v5 because your entire team chased enemies behind pillars to be murdered is...you guessed it...awesome!
RNG Ranked is a very special thrill, and the person who invented it is a great person! May they live in interesting times, yes!

Overtime...I just don't have the words to describe such a fun sensation when losing after dominating the entire match due to this WONDERFUL mechanic!
Even better, that whole streak bonus that doesn't occur when it should 90% of the time, that's a rocking awesome bit!

My favorite though has to be the person calling targets, it is SO much fun to ignore the dangerous enemies and focus on the real threats instead!

Gosh, this whole thing has been SO VERY AWESOME!
