Square Enix Suggestive Poses in Adventure Plates can we get an official response on this. Allowed or Not Allowed?

My own opinion is adventure plate's are meant to be a creative way to express yourself and if people are creative enough to make things look a certain way then let the creative juices flow.

It may seems silly or stupid, but as a wise man once said, "With the first link the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably".
Kinky content has been in this game since... Ever. Still remember that quest where you have to talk to a guy with to "lady servants" dressed in "very skimpy way", that one where a "skimpy dancer" has to "collect money from clients" and that one where a trio of "very skimpy ladies" approach your character in a very "delicate" behaviour.
However the real problem is, this has become in something far worse than content of dubious taste, or a violation of ToS. This has become a Witch Hunt. One where the GM had allow themselves to be dragged with, in the name of "children protection" (no one cares about children, let's be clear).
This is a WITCHHUNT. The first of many. Today is nudity, tomorrow it will be a certain addon for PvPers, and the next it will be your level according to some obscure database to be raiding. And since the first one has started, that cannot be stoped. Is as irreversible as climate change, having this community sunk into the abyss of toxicity. Rejoice, now FFXIV it's WoW, it's LoL, it's Overwatch. A toxic ceasepool to avoid, or where to be feared because "you're not like the rest of us".
PS: Thinking about this joke of a community winning the "best community award" last year makes me sick. Or ashamed. Or both.

ToS is always too broad and overreaching, the reason for that is so that if the devs decide to take action then they can.
It's the same with ToS just in general it tends to be as broad as possible and we do a lot of stuff all the time that is technically against ToS ( not to mention stuff like ACT and other addons the devs still allow but are against it ).

I mean also terms like '' respectful '' and '' appropriate '', that's a matter of perspective.
To me a shirtless man and a woman in her bra are the same thing, but to a lot of people they have no reaction to a guy with his shirt off but then there are people who think that even just cleavage on a woman is inappropriate ( I see breasts being compared to genitals all the time, a lot of people legit don't seem to understand that they're not the same ).
And I mean lots of people will find a guy with his shirt off inappropriate too.
Or your character smirking or making a taunting expression, is that disrespectful?

You see how this gets silly very quickly?
The reality is that it's just written this way so that the GM's can take action as they see fit and that's also going to be subject to how they perceive things.

Personally I think people kinda just need to grow the hell up if they get offended by stuff you easily see in Limsa like sexy poses and revealing outfits.
It's just really tiresome to have people who are prudes trying to shut others down all the time and police their fun.
If we're talking about stuff that is actually simulating sex acts then that's different the same way that a sexy pose and revealing clothes are different than actual pornography.

I've definitely seen some examples that I think enters the realms of simulating porn and I can understand those being too much and over the line.
But just a character showing their ass, if that upsets someone and they want to try and police that then just no.
Not everyone plays games to just be generic edgy DRK or PLD in plate armor, not everyone has the same concept of fun and cool.
There needs to be room for people that enjoy the sexy aspect too and it's clearly a part of the game, pornography however isn't.

Edit: Being creative is also not a requisite, a '' butt shot '' is about as creative as 99% of the Adventure Plates.
Very few are honestly all that creative most are very basic, and even less are actually all that unique.
Whether they're creative or not has no bearing on anything.

In general, all expressions of an obscene/indecent nature are prohibited. If a report has been filed and the prohibited activity is confirmed, a penalty will be issued.

Examples of violations that use character motions
Using a combination of emotes and motions to mimic grinding against another character
Using movements that are evocative of sexual activities

Note that obscene/indecent expressions can range from relatively mild to severe, and some of the relatively mild expressions may be tolerated among friends. Therefore, in a private environment where only friends are present, whether it is tolerated or not, a case will be judged on whether or not a report was made.

Such portraits would fall into this category.
